When in San Jose we usually walk into town most nights to enjoy the ambiance and activities at the square. And of course Thursday is a great night to enjoy open galleries and stores. The tamale cart and the ice cream shop are always planned stops for the family. Occasionally there is music or dancing and folks seem to enjoy... More

Neat area that is different from Cabo San Lucas. Lots of small shops, many specializing in jewelry. some neat little restaurants and neat downtown square

We had a great time in the evening visiting the main square and surrounding shops. Very quite. This whole city is so much more laid back than Cabo San Lucas. They had salsa dance lessons going on Sunday evening.

Really clean and fun! Shop owners don't hassle you. There are some really awesome places to eat as well. A lot of the shops offer the same stuff, but the staff is respectful and lets you shop. They will barter, but still expect you to be fair. There is some cool and history in the square as well.

Quaint and lovely, the square makes a nice focal point for this small town with various shops and a Church surrounding it. A nice spot to stop for a picture in the gazebo.

We went to Sa Jose del Cabo to odd some shopping and visit the square. We heard on Thursday evenings they have an art show. The show was not huge but some very good artist and fun shops. We also visited the church in the square and really enjoyed a nice evening walking the town.

Best place to people watch in San Jose Los Cabos. Great restaurants and shops catering to all your needs. Very laid back and no pushy vendors. Take a picture of the BIG flag while you are there!

Lots of shops around the square as well as the San Jose Church. Nothing particularly picturesque about the area.

We walked around San Jose's main square (Plaza Mijares) with some friends one evening. This is the heart of the town's activities. The main square has lots of open space, is uncluttered, and is surrounded by restaurants, cute little bars, and some art stores. There is a colonial style gazebo (kiosko) where bands sometimes play music. Every Thursday during high... More

A great place to have a drink and "mingle" with the locals. The Art Walk is good on Thursdays and Sunday nights often have community activities.
