Every Thursday night during the summer, artists set up hundreds of paintings in the Main Square. There are lots of people and just a great feeling happening. A churro and empanada truck completes the perfect setting.

Could be the time of year but there wasn't much going on in downtown San Jose when we went there. Short ride on the public bus.

Nothing to see. Walked around and we're done after 20mins. Not much of anything going on. Shops were closed and area seemed dead. But we wanted to get off resort.

Lots of small shops to browse. The mission is beautiful and the area feels safe. Great place to spend a afternoon

San Jose is a town as many others. Nothing really special about it. You can find good restaurants and art galleries, but in terms of architecture or historical monuments there is not much to see.

Wonderful little shops and restaurants around the main square. Despite the heat, there are shaded areas to sit and watch the activity.

San Jose del Cabo is quaint and offers a large variety of excellent restaurants. The town square with it's Old Church is charming and the town is lovely to walk around. Their are galleries & shops...more upscale than downtown Cabo and less hectic. Street vendors in the main square sell balloons, ice cream, and little novelties.

This quaint square is so picture perfect, you may think you've stepped into a made for Hollywood stage set! There's a beautiful church with a rich history anchoring one end, cobbled streets surrounding the square, a gazebo and water fountain in the middle, and shops of all variety bordering the square. You must come down on Thursday evening when the... More

Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops all are within walking distance. Shops we visited spoke English. Some shops are air conditioned which offer a nice refuge during the hot summer days. Finding a parking space may be a bit challenging for those who drive. Bargaining with the merchants is fine and will definitely save some money.
