Its a little expensive but if you rent clubs, they are good clubs so that helps along with the fact that you pass by the complementary drink/chef hut 4 x during the round. The marshall assures that you are able to get around timely and the staff is great. It has some great views; the greens are challenging and its a fun course to play. The tacos/nachos are very good

We actually got to play this course twice, but with 27 holes there is variety, along with lots of beauty to look take in. The 3 nines include Norman, Nicklaus l and Nicklaus ll. The later 2 are the best combination in my view. On the course there are tempting distractions from the several comfort stations offering margaritas, cerveza, fish tacos, sliders and snacks. The only “bump in the road” we encountered was a log jam of maintenance worker congregating on one or two of the holes, but this eventually cleared up. Green fees are pricey, but typical of Cabo. Be sure to ask for a discount if you are staying at one of the nearby resorts like JW Marriott.

The driving range is beautiful with little pyramids of balls ready for you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The palapas with food and drinks were wonderful. Everyone was as expected for the high cost. It was worth the experience.

This is our third and fourth times coming and may be our last. I’m not sure if the Marshall was sexist or racist, but he was extremely rude to my wife’s group who had two women, one black male, and one white male about being slow and trying to get them off the course, but were kind to the group I was in which was four white men who were just as slow if not slower. Also the palapas seem to be closing sooner and offering less options. In our previous trips in 2019 and 2020 we could get any food we wanted and never had to worry about them closing before sunset, but they closed the kitchen early our our first time this year (around 4:45) and they closed everything our second time around 5 which is a full hour before sunset! Also the palapas attendants were not friendly. We might be back if these things get addressed, and we had good experiences with two Canadian Marshalls/starters there, but the hit or miss nature of service is a big downside, especially for the cost.

I went with friends for a birthday celebration. The golf course was nice and golfing was good. With that being said, we showed up a little late (our fault) and were rushed trying to get on the course. Myself and two others had to rent clubs from the course and two other friends brought their own clubs. After paying for the round we were rushed to the carts with the rented clubs waiting on the carts and sent right away to the course. We were split into 2 groups which was fine and golfed our round. While on the course I noticed there was no 7 iron in my bag when I went to use it. We returned to the club house after the round and they immediately accused me of the disappearance of the 7 iron. I explained to them that it was not in the bag but they were very aggressive and threatening. My 2 other friends were already waiting at the club house when we returned also and I found out that one of them had the exact same thing happen to him with an approach wedge. Before we left we were harassed by 2 more people very aggressively and they stated that they had my credit card on file and they were going to investigate it further. It was a very uncomfortable experience and we were glad to get out of there at the end. I can promise I will never return to this course again and just hope this doesn't happen to anybody else.

We went out for twilight golf for my wife birthday. We split to 3guys/3ladies .Before we even started we were told by the Marshall (Hispanic man)there were limits on the drinks at the stations. And to keep moving on the course slow play would not be allowed. Two holes into the round the Jackass started harassing the ladies about slow play at the turn he started in on the guys telling us about slow play. We were even par and playing best ball . He’s rude and needs to work on his anger management and his people skills .Never will be back

Jorge Armenta who works in the reservations department provided awful customer service. We cancelled before even going because of the way he treated us on the phone. I’ll gladly spend $300 at a different golf course in Cabo if that’s the treatment provided before even arriving.

We played Nicholas II and the Norman course. Both courses were in phenomenal shape: Prestine! Nicholas II was nice but really enjoyed the layout and views from Norman course. The food at the comfort stations were top notch. Breakfast taco and steak tacos were great! This course was a 50 min drive for us and I would play it again. Highly recommend giving it a try!

My husband and I enjoyed golfing both courses(18 holes). The fairways had some dead spots but the greens were looking good. We loved the food & drink offered on the course- great chicken tacos! The views on some of the holes were amazing! I liked the clubs we rented- a little beat up but worked well.

We had a great time playing Nicholas II/Norman Thursday afternoon. Wow, challenging course for us. The greens are the most difficult ones we have encountered since playing Pinehurst. Course is in great shape. The staff was very friendly. We had no issues with feeling rushed.
It is a solid 45-60 minutes from Cabo so a bit of a ride back & forth.
It is also quite pricey.

It seemed pretty normal to me that you would see in the state’s. Not sure if that helps.

Hello! We played this course last June and are wanting to play it again on our trip next week but aren't sure of course conditions after the recent storm. Has anyone been lately?

Hello. We will be going to Secrets Cabo in early March. Can you share any additional information about the golf course attached to Secrets Cabo? How did you get there....can you walk there from the resort? or is there a shuttle from the resort? Were you able to rent clubs there? What's the best way to make a golf reservation? Is there an email address to coordinate with someone at the Pro Shop?
Thanks for any help you can offer :)

Sorry was not staying at Secrets so can't help with those specific questions. Was definitely one of the better golf values in Cabo when you compare course quality and amenities

$Green fees? $Club rental fees?
We are staying at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos. Is there a shuttle to the course?
Thank you.

No shuttle, and no pickups by the guys from the pro shop.
Simple taxi ride, or if you don't have clubs, it can be walked (but pretty steep hills).
Rental clubs are $55 or $65, and they finally have new clubs to offer... They were pretty beaten up, with slippery grips.
Price varies a lot depending on season. Also if you can get a 4some together, you can save a lot.
You can find discounted rates online.

I'm looking for prices to golf. We are looking to visit the end of March 2015 and we might stay at Secrets. Is there a different price for non Secrets guests.
thank you.

Do you have rental clubs and if so what kind and what is the cost to rent them? What are green fees?

I agree with Scott1717. The rates vary with the season and time of day you want to play.
Twilight rates usually start about 1:30 and are the least expensive. There are two different club rental options....a not so great set for something like $35 and a better set for about $50. I think all these items are addressed on their website...so just google it.
For the price, it is the best value of any course in the area. Great views of Sea of Cortez on most holes + you get all the drinks you can possibly handle + food (good sandwiches, chips) and for a decent propina(tip) you can get even better drinks(like upscale tequila). Nice way to finish off a round.
