Didn’t get to snorkel and didn’t get a refund. The food was terrible soggy tuna salad with mayonnaise potato salad and crackers.
Upon returning from not snorkeling, one of the crew members slipped and said that they were advised prior that there would be bad...More
We went out for the Oceanus II sunset dinner cruise and were totally happy. The ship was well maintained and had a great upper deck for dancing. The crew was very interactive with the passengers making it a lot of fun with games and great...More
I guess they must read they're reviews because we had a great time. We got it for free with a timeshare presentation and the drinks were flowing, the staff were constantly walking around to make sure people had drinks, and the buffet was decent. We...More
Nice large "Oceanus" catamaran with attentive staff. They served Bacardi rum and lower shelf liquor. I drank the regular and light Tecacate beer. Margaritas are ok if you only have one or two. As much as you can drink was included. The safety vests were...More
We too the daytime trip. It was a nice trip. Staff was friendly and fun. We did not have any issues with the staff during our trip. The snorkeling was great. Staff directed us to the fish and sea life. The lunch was ok. Drinks...More
First off not what we expected. Sold to us as a nice couples tour and dinner with open bar. That I can deal with, hey sometimes things don't turn out as plan but here's what I think is unacceptable about this cruise.

I got this excursion as an incentive for attending a timeshare presentation. I do not know how to swim, and this was my second time snorkeling. I was happy, because I saw fish this time (unlike in Jamaica)!!! I was a bit nervous when lowering...More

It is family friendly but you get what you pay for...I'd recommend looking for another venue. We were NOT impressed with the food or the drinks. The views were amazing but you can get that on any boat. It's all about the experience and our party of 8 wasn't at all impressed.
Oceanus Mini Sub – I have mixed feeling on this. It was a good size boat, with gd size bathrooms, open bar, nachos, music. They combined arch sightseeing, whale watching, snorkeling, and mini sub. We paid for the mini sub. I booked online and got a discount. The mini-sub is like a scooter with a bubble head. You sit on the scooter and there is tank that supplies air to the bubble head so you can breathe normally when you are under the water. It is kind of neat. They have 3 guys taking care of...More

My 24 hours in Cabo (11 Replies)
Safety is the never ending topic out here and my opinion remains the same. For me the dangers are a) the sun and b) the sidewalks. Pay attention to where you're walking. I spent 11 days in Los Barriles and 5 in San Jose with no plan to visit Cabo. The one day I woke up and realized I couldn't leave the area without going on a cruise. Being out on one of the cats is my favourite thing to do. So I contacted one of my best friends who lives in Cabo and told her I was jumping on the Desierto...More

Great read! Some super info here and THANKS! So glad it was another great trip-but that's weird about not seeing the sunset from the Pacific! Question-did you post on the LB pages about your time there? I hope so, since it's one of my favorite places, and I will be there for a couple of days (at my friend's Hotel Los Pescadores) very soon! TFS!
Oceanus Mini|Sub Dive Tour (1 Replies)
Has anybody booked this tour online, and how far is it from the Barcelo los Cabos Palace,

I haven't done it, but I think it departs from the Cabo marina, 20 miles from the Barcelo in SanJose. If you go up one level to the Los Cabos forum and put "Oceanus" in the Search bar, you can read some forum threads. Oceanus also has some reviews in the Things to Do section. Good luck gathering information.
