I want to thank Mr. Juan Carlos Barrientos, server in Tavera Restaurant. He was always trying to help and make me feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you so much for all your help. I hope to go back soon!

Very nice course for the price. I went in 2021 during a couples trip and I took my son in 2022 during our family vacation. Both 9s are a lot of fun and provide a nice combination of ocean, desert, and mountain scenes. Underrated course!

Played this course for the first time March 3rd 2021 and March 5th 2021. We played it twice and I am glad we did.

Little pricey at 190.00 a round, but we had a great time.

Service was excellent and the course was in GREAT shape. We had a blast. And because of COVID, we were about the only ones on the course. No waiting.

The course has beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez and the mountains on every hole.

The course itself was in great shape. I have never seen so many people working on a course. But they never got in your way.

The course is challenging but not so hard the average golfer would not want to play.

We played the white tees both times. The blues and golds would make it more challenging. There were some professional and fun holes. Again, We had a bast.

Drinks and food after wards were great. Service excellent.

Would love to lay this course again. You will not be disappointed.

We have been playing this course every year for over 10 years. It is usually well kept. Due to the pandemic they quit watering and maintaining the course. When I contacted Questro to book a package they said all of their courses were in excellent condition. Unfortunately this is not the case. If you are planning on playing in 2020, I would recommend Campestre and Peurto Las Cabos.

Nice course design and some great views. Greens were in fine shape but the fairways and other areas showed some wear and tear. The whole place looks like it needs a bit of TLC and investment. We were met by an attentive starter but that was the last we saw of course personnel. We played in 4 hours and 40 minutes, waiting essentially every hole. Never saw a Marshall the entire time.

Played golf here the other day
Course was in very good shape.
Staff was very friendly and views were incredible .
Best shrimp quesadilla at the turn.
Loved it so much going back to play again even though greens would be just punched.

Overall the course was in OK condition. The tees and fairways were in need of a bit of water, but for the most part they were pretty nice. The greens were pretty grainy and rolled just OK. Nice round of golf for the price considering the competition in Cabo.

Very nice! Conditions were great, greens and tee boxes were perfect. Some fairways we saw some dry spots but they only minimal, didn’t play dry tho. Would golf again, front 9 holes towards the ocean nice ocean holes easy and relaxing…Back 9 takes you back into the foothills with beautiful desert terrain, longer harder. Nice finish 4 holes.

I can't believe no one has written a review or given their opinion on Cabo Real Golf course. I hope since I am the first on tripadvisor it will be helpful.

I was fortunate enough to play Cabo Real Golf Course 3 times in December 2006. We played the 24th, 26th & 28th. The weather was fantastic every day. The last day we played it was very windy the whole round so that made the course play much longer. Since we played 3 different days, this review is an overall impression of the course.

First of all, I really like Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf courses. His bunkering/sand traps are always placed strategically and god knows there's a lot of them! I have played many of his courses and they have never dissapointed.

Cabo Real Golf Course is a challenge. Especially the front nine.
They say the front nine on Cabo Real is the toughest 9 in all of Cabo. I have played both courses at Cabo Del Sol (you can read my reviews on those courses as well on tripadvisor) and I can't really disagree with them.

The front nine takes you up into the higher mountain elevations and then back down toward the ocean for the back nine. There are dramatic holes on both the front and back nines. I am not going to review the course hole by hole but I will touch on the most memorable holes for me. Please look at my pictures to get a feel of Cabo Real.

#5 is a dramatic hole hitting over a canyon. Yes, I said canyon! If you are playing from the back tees, it is one intimidating looking
hole. There is no room for error or miss hits on this hole. Enjoy the view to the left over the canyon.

#8 Gorgeous view looking from the highest point on Cabo Real.
You can see all the way down to the Sea of Cortez. Take your camera out for this picture.

#9 Great short par 4 in which you have to avoid water on your left.
Huge double tiered green to accept long irons.

#10 Great down hill long par 4. Good luck reaching in two.
#11 is a great short par 4 with an elevated green abutting up to the base of a mountain.
#12 WOW! What a view. Par 3 dropping about 75' overlooking the ocean. Camera once again!
#14 Great short par 4 leading the the first ocean hole. Deceptive in design but a great, great hole. Look back up the fairway when you're on the green. It's a beautiful hole.
#15 The signature hole at Cabo Real. Par 3 set right along the ocean. They don't get much better than this. This is one of the finest holes in Cabo. Not too difficult, but visually one of the most beautuful. Notice the resort just behing the green. This is the Las Ventanas Resort. Movie stars and very prominant people stay at this resort. That leaves me out!!

Overall impression. Cabo Real Golf Course is beautiful and challenging. It's in good shape considering they get no rain in Cabo. The greens are tough to read. Great approach shots on most holes. I really do like this course. It could be compared most closely to Cabo Del Sol's Desert Course. Both are great tracks and offer great holes at both courses. You can sometimes find a deal or discount offers here at Cabo Real but never at Cabo Del Sol (except for twilight). I got a deal on Ebay
(a certificate a guy couldn't use) and it worked out perfectly.

The only problem we had at the course was the first day we played. Everyone was very nice at the course but the ranger kept pushing us to go faster. There was a group in front of us and in back of us but the group in back of us was never on the same hole as us waiting to tee off. The ranger kept driving up to us and saying, you guys have to move a little faster and pick up the pace to catch the group ahead of you. Well, we had a foursome and they had a threesome. How are we suppose to catch them when we have one more person. After 3 times of this guy telling us to "speed it up" I finally said to him..."why do you keep insisting we go faster when we can't even see the people behind us"? He said they want everybody to finish in 4 1/2 hours regardless. I told him we were ahead of pace and we wanted to enjoy our round, not feel like we were being rushed or pushed to finish. This was the only negative and it only happened that one day. The other two days we golfed there it was busier and more crowded but we had no one pushing us at all.

Also, they do have a shuttle service so check with them before hand and they will pick up and take you back to where you are staying. Cabo Del Sol does NOT have a shuttle service. We stayed at the Dreams Los Cabos Resort and it worked out perfect. Dreams is located about 1 mile from the course.

So, if you get a chance to play Cabo so! You will enjoy the scenery and it will be a challenging golf course for you. Make sure to bring your camera. Especially for #8, #12, #14 and
#15. I am posting pictures of these holes.

Enjoy the pictures.

I've played all the courses in Cabo except the Raven (Cabo country club) and the 9 hole, and I have to say that Cabo Real may be my favorite. I love the Ocean at Cabo del Sol, but It's just so darn expensive. I can get two/three rounds in at Cabo Real for the price of one at del Sol.

All that said, the course is in great condition again this year. I played it last year as well, and the conditioning has been superb both years. A couple of dry areas, but overall it's been in pretty good shape. I will say this as a word of warning. The rough here at the end of June was simply brutal. I mean real thick just off the fairway. Even some of the player assistants commented on it. It's so thick that your shots just die coming out of it, easily adding 1-2 shots to your score each time that you hit into it.

Overall, a must play, definitely recommended. Not quite as high as the ocean, but a much cheaper play.
