Great staff, and meal. We got very close to Los Arcos, and on the top deck of the boat we were treated to drinks and a fantastic live band. It was a great experience but you need to know a couple of things:
1) If you want, staff takes photos of you throughout the event and are shown to you during dinner.
2) upon boarding the Caborey, they make you shell out a couple of dollars per person for some kind of tax. So have a few singles in your pocket to pay that, or you don't get to get on board.
3) The entertainers that performed the post-dinner show were great. When the cruise was over, the performers were all lined up to say goodbye and they had a hat at the end of their area where they wanted yet another tip. We told them we left a tip on the table and one of them started to yell at us and tell us that the tip didn't include them. That was rather awkward. They DID work really hard in the show but isn't that what we paid for upfront?
I guess my point in this review is that I wish that ALL the required money was in the price up front. I get kind of tired getting tip harrassed throughout my experience. All this being said, I would definitely sail on the Caborey again in the future.

These guys were great! We took a Christmas night cruise which came with your choice of about five different main menu items. They were all phenomenal, except for one of them they said they ran out of, but then said they had it, and it wasn't made the way it was supposed to be. However, the show was amazing. Very talented people. They had a "band" on the top deck for the first part of the cruise, but for the seating arrangements up there, it's a little too loud, can't hear yourself trying to have conversations with company. The drinks were good. I can't say enough about the food. The only issue we had with them was in trying to purchase the cruise, they get you all signed up and you want to pay with a credit card, which is fine (for part of it), then they throw it out there that you have to put a hefty deposit IN CASH down (there were 9 of us). Wanted to pay with credit card, so then they said they would charge us a 10% fee. For a trip that was almost $1k they should not try and charge fees like that. And there's no reason they shouldn't be able to accept the credit card for full payment. other than that issue, the trip was awesome.

We loved the entire experience, from the moment we stepped on board the crew treated like royalty. The vessel and the amenities were excellent, we enjoyed the dinner and especially the tango show, Mexican folklore dance and the sunset cruise . Caborey was excellent and worth every penny.

Going out on the Caborey for new years this year was a disater for what they charged. the food was good but the services was way below par/ We were the second party to be seated for dinner and the waiter was more interested in serving the 12 top table. It took 5-10 minutes between coarses to be served. the head waiter ( I think) came over and told us the main coarse will be about 5 minutes after we already waited awhile.looking over and a party thatcame in way after we did was getting served the same main coarse as we ordered. It made us feel like we were second hand citizens. There was no live band only a DJ. For the 260.00 pp we paid it was definitely not worth it. We will never ever go back on the Caborey for a special holiday, for there are way better choices to pick from.

We are sorry to read this type of comment, as far as we are concerned we will take action on the matter of the service, which according to what I am understanding in your comment is what failed, we will see it shortly.
On the other hand, at our New Year's Eve dinner the price was $245 usd per person and that specific tour does not include the live band so I think you were misinformed if they told you there would be a live band since we do not have a live band on New Year's Eve.

The boat was nice and not crowded, easy to get around and very clean. The snorkeling was amazing, gorgeous schools of fish all over. The equipment was sanitized, older but functional. The food was a warm chicken sandwich with globs of warm Mayo so gross we couldn’t eat it. Even the chips provided were soggy stale. And the drinks were all flat and cheap. While the people were nice, there’s no excuse for inedible food. We paid $60 each, your left at 11a returned 2:30p. I would recommend a tour with decent food.

We got a coupon for a sunset ride on Caborey and we decided to take it, not knowing exactly what to expect. Luckily, all health measures were taken and we had a great time. There was live music, the dinner was somewhat decent and the views for the arch and town at sunset were very cool. We are glad we took the ride. It was fun

This trip on the Cabo Rey ship was much more than we expected. We sailed at sunset around the Cabo San Lucas port and all around the iconic Los Arcos. The dinner was fabulous. We both had filet minon. A memorable, romantic evening with several professional dancing acts after dinner.

We did the sunset cruise and had a blast! The line to board the boat was a bit long, as we had to wait for each group to have their picture taken. Once on the boat, it was all fun! We paid for the more expensive dinner ($103) and show. We were shown where our assigned dinner seats were, and then we headed to the upper deck to the open bar, to listen to the band, and to watch the sunset. At 6pm, we headed down for dinner. The food was truly excellent! As a group of 9, we had many different entrees and all were delicious. At 7 pm the entertainment began. It was great! When you leave, a 15% tip is expected. Also, have some money to tip the entertainers as you leave.

The sunset dinner was great. I highly recommend the premier dinner. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. It was the best food we ate our entire trip. It is impressive that they were able to put out such a wonderful dinner on a boat.

Dinner cruise was awesome. I am from Texas and everything is bigger in Texas and CaboRey was the same. Bigger then all the other boats around us that day, the service and food were AWESOME. We had a sit down dinner that was delicious with great views!

Does the boat get rocky? Do people need to worry about getting sea sick? We go tonight.

Hello, the size of the boat means that there is less movement but remember that we are at sea so there will be a little movement. If you are easily seasick we recommend taking a pill against seasickness at least 40 minutes beforehand, at Do this and for the medicine to take effect you cannot drink alcoholic beverages as it would cut off the effect of the medicine.

We will be in Cabo on 2/5. Would like to book your sunset dinner cruise on 2/7. There are 3 of us.

We caught the local bus from our golf resort to downtown, so it was quite minimal -- about $1 each for the 3 of us. The 3 of us enjoyed the Caborey Sunset Cruise in July for a total cost of around $235 for their "premium dinner and show", seated right next to the performers. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2.5 hour tour, meal, and show.

All the answers are more than accurate, I also recommend the $79 options (even that is where is mostly crowded but not uncomfortable or disorganized) wich includes open bar on top of the Cruise and a tacos, fajita and rice buffet wich is basic but does it as a snack bar for the drinks. I would recommend you have a blast on drinks and dance a lot (live band wich is very good and animated) , use the buffet snack to calm hunger not eating too much and then keep going having a blast for a while (you leave the boat early night or late evening) at the many bars in Cabo, and then have a nice dinner somewhere. Go at your hotel and change clothes and then keep partying or exploring the nightlife options!! Have a blast ...

Hola Linda, we recomend casual/formal if you are attending the PREMIUM DINNER & SHOW or informal ware if you sign up for our MEXICAN DINNER and as Christy's recomendation, comfortable shoes and clothing for going up our stairs. We do not provide transportation. We look forward to your visit!
