My wife and I found the people here to be helpful but we did not rent a car from them like many other posters have discussed. The many "visitor information" booths along the street in Cabo are actually timeshare sales booths, and their staffs will pitch a visit to their resort in exchange for discounted tours, rental cars, and other... We checked before we arrived in Mexico with Budget and were told to have a letter from our insurance company stating we had liability insurance for $1,000,000 for car rentals in Mexico. When we arrived with the letter they demanded we have the entire insurance policy. We had it emailed and because it didn't specifically say México in the actual... More

We showed up at the Los Cabo's airport with a confirmed reservation with Budget car rental. We are a family of five. To find they had NO cars available. Not just for us but for the three other families that reserved car also. Don't waist your time and money here. They called the supervision on Duty and she wouldn't even... More

After nightmarish experience with other car rental agencies (mainly outlandish compulsary insurance rates), we booked thru our Grand Mayan resort car with Payless. They delivered car to our resort and passed to us all cost (inluding insurance) car for sensible rates car in excellent condition. We returned it at the airport fot no additional charge.

Rented a car from Budget, they claimed I scratched the windshield which was a complete scam. Once back in the US it was impossible to reverse the charges which showed up 3-days after the rental. Then after 2-months of trying to work with Budget customer service, which by the way were the most incredibly rude people I have ever spoken... More

Would not honor online reservation, inflated insurance rates, lousy car, gas tank was not full at beginning and had to pay extra when we brought the car back even though the gauge was at the exact same level, uncaring and unresponsive staff, ripoff timeshare artist right at the budget desk everything is bad about budget or worse

Rented SUV at Avis Cabo airport. Second day while driving, the vehicle just stopped running which was not the problem - that can happen to any vehicle. Problem was that I called the aiport Avis office 7 times and no one ever answered. Called the emergency assistance number on their key fob 4 times. They answered but did not speak... More

I booked on line for a one week car rental priced at $460. When we arrived they shuttle you to the actual place and charge double for insurance. Does not matter of you have your policy I formation. Benjamin scammed me. Upon arrival to our wonderful hotel, there was a Dollar car rental for $40 per day including insurance totaling... More

Thrift car rental is apparently pulling this scam regularly. We too booked a car through a travel website and paid for insurance for driving in Mexico. They refused to honor the insurance and wanted $590 for insurance!
