So, okay, my old man and I are a little older than the average patron of the Giggling Marlin, or at least that was my perception of the place. We had a fantastic time watching the mayhem going on around us while being treated with courtesy and respect. The drinks were excellent and the food was some of the best we had in Cabo. The garlic shrimp were especially good.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the audience participation events going on. I especially thought the idea of a live rooster roaming around loose; the idea being whoever could catch him got a free round of drinks for their table, was amusing. No one caught him while we were there!

The big "draw" in addition to the good food, good drinks and great dance music is a photo opportunity where a person is strapped into a harness to be hung upside down by their ankles - like a marlin who's been caught. Big fun to watch but my arthritis said no to participation.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely on all counts. I highly recommend the Giggling Marlin to partiers and watchers alike!

We had so much fun at the Giggling Marlin. Then they brought a guest up to the stage to demonstrate an amazingly simple salsa recipe. The recipe was recited, but I can't remember it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!!

The drinks were good and reasonably priced. Don't go there for the food. We weren't very happy with it. (Overcooked beef in the burritos.)

Our waiter was Mr. Suave, very friendly and nice, kissing our hands. ha! (Not rude-like, but Mr Gentleman.)

There are Shot Boys, and they're a bit pushy. They walk around with a giant sombrero, plop it on your head, make you drink a weak kamikaze shot, and then ask you for $4. It happens all so fast and you're stuck doing it before you realize what happened. But it's all in good fun.

The music is Top 40 and classics. Really good. Small dance area but many of the customers get up and dance. The show is great. The host and 2 dancing girls do something different every 20 minutes or so. A lot of audience participation, with prizes and such. Some of it is on the raunchy side, which we enjoyed, but some customers may not.

There's also the hoist that hangs people upside down that many people enjoy.

Went there twice in the week we where in Cabo. Had a great time dancing, the first time we went we paid for our drinks each time the waiter brought them to us. Second time in was in the late afternoon we sat at the bar started a tab. I had two drinks my boyfriend had three beers and one appetizer. When we got our bill we where charged for five beers three drinks and one appetizer. Where I asked about the mistake the bartender told me no I'm wrong, I must be to drunk I don't know how much I drank.
Excuse me this was the first drinks I had for the day. I then asked for the manager he told me no. I was not going to back down, he was so rude... But my boyfriend paid the bill. NO TIP !!!

Went there with family and friends and we went to sit down and they came by with Jello shots and they make you think that you are getting them for free and then some big guy comes around and says that we owe him 20.00 for the shots. We say ok and give him the 20.00 and then we ask how much the beer is and the waiter said 3.00 so we head up to the bar and then he told us the beer was 15.00 each and we could start a tab and he had already handed 1 person the beer so he gave it back to him and said that he is not paying 15.00 for a beer then he starts arguing with us because we said that we don't want the beer anymore. They are real pushy, shady and a con artist. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would actually advise you to stay away!!!

Now I'm no Spring Breaker, I'm in my early 30s and have an 18 month old, but my husband and I along with a group of our friends came to Giggling Marlin to celebrate with our friends' who were getting married. We arrived a little early in the night and there was an emcee who had the crowd play a music trivia game for free shots. The free shots actually consisted of a conga line where they poured a sip of Cuervo in your mouth. Then while dancing staff came around and put a sombrero on your head and threw a shot down your mouth. A lot of people said no, but they did it anyway!!! Then they went over to the guys we were with and told them it cost $5 for each shot!!! Ridiculous! My husband refused to pay. Then they picked three middle aged guys with pot bellies to play in this game which included lap dancing for a cougar picked out of the crows (super pathetic), chugging beers, and push ups. It ended up a three way tie (go figure) and so the tie breaker was a dance on top of the bar and one guy mooned the crowd TWICE!!! Totally put me in a foul mood for the rest of the night. We couldn't get out of there fast enough once my other friend's arrived. No one in the place was under 40 except for us!

Do not waste your money here. This place acts like they're all about the the "party," but what they don't tell you is that they will charge you for anything you participate in. We stopped in during the week of 3/9/09, and they were doing a train around the bar giving away free shots of Tequila (if you can call that sweet tasting sugary liquid tequila). That's the extent of anything for free. They then proceeded to our table of 8, plopped a sombrero on each person's head, and shoved not one, but two jello shots in our mouths. Many people didn't want them, but they literally shoved them into our mouths. After the last person, they proceeded to charge our table $32. Not only were these the worst jello shots I ever had, I didn't even ask for one and got stuck paying for them. Then, they grabbed various people from different tables and said they were going to do Salsa dancing. After 10 minutes of dancing, they proceeded to charge each person $15 for Salsa lessons! And don't let them take your picture.. they will try to make you buy that too. They do this to anyone... we were not even spring breakers and they tried taking advantage of us. Do not waste your money here!!

Great experience, even in a pandemic. We are from LA County and felt safer in Cabo than back home actually. Upon entering the Giggling Marlin you are given a temperature check, you must sanitize your hands and you are led to a table (they have tables spaced far apart). The staff was amazing and they take disease prevention seriously with their masks, gloves and even making your salsa fresh and table side. We happened to see one of the kitchen staff and they were also wearing full face covering/shield, gloves and hair net. We felt very safe and the food, drinks and service were excellent!

Love, love, love this place.
Loads of fun, very customer focused and the food and drinks rock. Their famous, Skip and go Naked drink is excellent.

Eloy, the bartender was personable and made great drinks.
Danny, the events master, get's the crowd involved. He is great at what he does.

I go to Cabo 3-5 times a year. I go to the Giggling Marlin several times on every trip.
