Great experience. Always have 7+ lines in the water, the skippers definitely have a lot of experience in the Cabo area. Very thorough and the equipment is top of the line. Wouldn't want to go fishing with any other boat in Cabo.

We had an unforgettable day on the water with Cabo Fishing Company! I had an issue with another excursion we had booked and Keith was able to rearrange our fishing day on short notice; fantastic customer service!! Everything was super organized, including the email instructions and invoice. We were met by Alex the manager who purchased our licenses and escorted us to the boat; he had us laughing early in the AM before our day even started. To address a previous review, we had no communication issues with our crew. Had an awesome time with the them even though the fish weren't biting a majority of the trip. Our captain pointed out whales and dolphins whenever they were passing by. The crew worked really hard to get us on the fish; multiple lines in the water and changed a variety of bait when we weren't getting anything. Just as I was thinking we were going to come back empty handed we hooked a magnificent striped marlin!! My husband got to reel it in and I had a blast watching. We did a half day on their 26ft boat; supposed to be from 7-12 but even after the Marlin was caught very close to 12 they kept us trolling back to the marina. Cabo Fishing Charter is the best value around!

The captain was Luis and crew was Samuel. They were both super friendly, experienced fishermen. We went out on an 8 hour trip on the 26’ Marina IV. Although we went out to catch marlin, we ended up catching 8 dorado (mahi mahi). On the radio, no one was catching marlin that day, so I guess they weren’t biting. During the trip, a bull shark came very close to our boat which was awesome! We also saw dolphins and sea lions. The trip was amazing overall, and we went back after about 6.5 hours due to my sea sickness. When we got back, Samuel filtered the dorado for us to take home (we only took 1 home but he offered to filet for us as many as we wanted).

Our hotel cooked the fish for us and it was AMAZING! Watching the fish go from ocean to table was very satisfying. The crew’s knowledge, paired with the equipment on board (including 2 fighting chairs!) helped to make our trip memorable and successful. The price was great as well. We actually saw the Marina IV coming into the marina later that week, and they had caught at least 1 marlin (possibly more... they hung at least 1 marlin flag up though). If the conditions are right, you’ll catch allll of the cool fish in the ocean! Thanks for the amazing time!

Booking our deap sea fishing trip with Cabo Fishing Co. was the best decision I made all trip. These guys know how to catch fish. We took a half day trip and had 3 Marlins on the line within 1.5 hrs. Best fishing experience hands down.

We fished with Cabo Fishing Company on July 9, 2020. We had Captain David and Firstmate Jesus take us out for a full day charter. It was amazing. We stepped on the boat and David told us we were going for Marlin, Tuna and Dorado. We were lucky to reel in 2 huge marlins. We let one go, a 105 incher and kept a 90 incher. We only kept the one because it was injured when hooked. It was the best day of fishing I could imagine.

Had an amazing day fishing. From pick up to drop off they were first class. I told them I wanted to catch a Striped Marlin and they got the job done. We were fishing within 30 minutes of leaving the marina. Hooked up to a beautiful Marlin. Their customer service was top notch from booking the trip with Keith and being greeted by Alex in Cabo. Truly a 5 star experience. This is the company you want to book your fishing charter with.

BEWARE!!!!!! Crew speaks NO English. Very disorganized. 1st Mate didn't even realize there was a bite. Had a beautiful Marlin hooked and next to the boat. The mate had no clue and the captain had to leave the bridge, so the boat ran over the fish.

This was a total wast of money. The boat is not as advertised. No fish finder!!!!!

Owners didn't care when I sent an email.

Save your money and go with another company.

Please be assured that we care about our clients and want every one of them to have an amazing experience. We have excellent reviews with yours being the exception. Sportfishing is very challenging and fun. Sometimes the fish win and it is very disappointing. We are very sorry to hear that your large fish swam under the boat and got away. But we are sure being a fisherman yourself you know that almost always the Captain leaves the bridge to assist the firstmate in getting the large fish secured. Please keep in mind that you are a guest fishing in Mexico which is a predominantly Spanish-speaking country. We can assure you that our Captains make every effort possible to learn to speak English. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to improve our services and customer experience.

I booked an 8 hour private charter with a friend of mine who had never been deep sea fishing. I was excited to take her because it is always the highlight of my trip.
We received an email the night before confirming we would be with Manuel. The next morning we met Manuel at the dock. He took us to the Robalo and said his brother Manny and Capt. David were going to take us out. We climbed on and off we went.
We were told we would be fishing for Marlin and Mahi-Mahi. We caught a yellow fin tuna about an hour and a half into the charter. I was able to reel it in. Very excited, we continued. From there everything went downhill. Manny sat on top with David looking for Marlin. (This was explained that is how it works in the email the previous night). When they spot one, Manny would jump down and throw another live bait fish in the area where we saw the Marlin. No luck so we would continue on.
A minimum of 5 times I turned around and looked up to see Manny asleep. At first I thought maybe he just shut his eyes for a minute but then his head started bobbing back. At one point I said his name 3 times before he even woke up. I told him no sleeping and he just laughed. Of the 5 Marlin we even saw that day, I pointed out 2 before they even saw them.
Every time I have ever been deep sea fishing, if the fish weren't biting we would change routes and try something new. Go to a different area or try fishing a different type of fish. I asked 5 times if we could try stopping and fishing over the side or try a new kind of fishing and Manny would say yes, climb back up top, and we would just continue doing more of the same.
In 8 hours, Manny changed the type of lures 4 times and the live bait fish 1 time. We went back and forth and he would say "other boats are catching Marlin" then switched to "well they aren't hungry". I repeatedly asked if we could try something else, he would say yes, climb back up top and then fall asleep as David trolled the boat back and forth. Finally I pointed out that the other boats were stopped and fishing over the side and catching stuff. He looked at me and said "we don't have the bait." They pulled all the fishing poles back in and we headed back. My friend who had never been deep sea fishing before in 8 hours didn't even get to touch a pole. We had no bites, no other catches....nothing. I understand that catching fish is not a guarantee. I also know that every other charter I have ever used if we weren't catching would go to a new area, try different techniques, etc. We got none of that with Manny and David. Instead of being the highlight of our trip, this was the most disappointing and the most expensive thing we did.
As part of the deal to get the bait for free instead of $30, they ask ahead of time to put a review on TripAdvisor. When we got back to the dock, I emailed Keith with Baja-Mocabo because I was so upset. By later that evening he had replied and was unaware that Manuel hadn't been our guide. He said they expect the utmost professionalism from their staff and falling asleep while during the tour was not tolerated and he wouldn't be using them again. He asked what they could do to rectify the situation. I emailed back and told him if there was someone who could give us the experience we should have had, we would be willing to go again otherwise a partial or full refund would be appreciated. He emailed back and said Manuel would be willing to take us back out the next day for 5 hours at the discounted rate of $150. I responded and said us having to pay even more money to get the experience we should have had in the first place I did not feel was a proper solution to the situation. I have not heard back from Keith after that and it's been 2 days.
I will say Captain Tony's cooked our fish and we gave half to the staff there to take home. Tasted amazing. The day itself was a huge disappointment. I would never use this company again and wouldn't recommend it if you want a great experience. While I can appreciate that he said they expect high professionalism, from my experience we received anything but and then were asked to pay more. Total disappointment.

We came in on a cruise and had the Skipper meet us on the Marina just as Baja-Mocabo said. I was thrilled with every aspect of dealing with Baja-Mocabo. We had a great experience. Would highly recommend Baja-Mocabo to anyone looking for agreat day fishing.

Captain David and his deckhand Jose were awesome! They didn’t speak too much English and we are not fluent in Spanish so communication was more physical than verbal. They were both most professional and for my family’s 1st deep sea fishing trip we felt great comfort in their knowledge of the boat, water and sport fishing. Captain David took us by the beautiful Arch and we saw so many sea lions. We even stopped to take some pictures of each other in front of the Arch as the sun was rising – it was really nice because no other tourist boats were out there that early so we got some great pictures.

The Sea of Cortez and the Pacific were both pretty rough and even though we all had plenty of Dramamine, our son’s fiancé got a little seasick, but not before she caught a Needlefish to get us started. My husband, son and myself all caught beautiful yellowfin tunas and then on the way back to port my husband caught a gorgeous Mahi Mahi. We had a little bait left over – Jose fed some birds and then a huge Sea lion jumped on the back of the boat for his share of fish. Jose gave him a fish and then another one jumped on for a couple of fish! Such beautiful creatures they were, never been so close to one before.

At the dock, we asked Captain David and Jose to clean 1 tuna and half of the Mahi Mahi for us to take and gave them the rest. We had brought a few Ziploc bags to put the fish in to take back to our resort for dinner. My husband cut up part of the Tuna Sashimi style – dipped in a little soy sauce, it melted in our mouths like butter! So fresh and delicious! He also grilled up the remaining Tuna and Mahi Mahi the next night.

We can’t say enough what a wonderful experience this was and wanted you to know that we have shared your information with several of friends – hoping they will also get to enjoy fishing with you soon!
