As others have stated the hospitality and tour were very good , BUT buyer beware!
The tour raised a lot of red flags, a walk through their “plantation” with random coffee plants , ginger plants, turmeric etc it was clear that there was no way that they could produce commercial quantity and the number of varieties that they claim. Having an octogenarian grandmother demonstrating the “roasting” of coffee beans over an open fire was a nice “theatrical” touch but not convincing. The manufacturing plant required to produce the products that they claim to manufacture on site would necessitate a large factory and expensive processing machinery. All the products offered are available to buy in the minimarts for less than 1/3 the price offered at the plantation tour.

My husband and I were shuffled here on a tour. The guide was friendly and the grounds are very pretty. That part was fun so we decided to buy some of what we tasted. Bad decision.

They’re expensive low-quality products. I bought the ginseng coffee, its not coffee. I use it to sweeten my normal coffee.

Probably a scam between guides and “coffee plantations”

Don’t buy anything here.

We were in Ubud for our honeymoon and our grab driver took us here (probably works with these guys on the regular) it was a bit sketchy walking through this forest with our driver and an employee there. He then went on to talk about what they grow and produce there. When we got to the back of the pathway we saw a little shop with tons of packaged coffee and were invited to sample everything they produce here. The samples were great, lots of flavour and so many different varieties.

Everything seemed great until we got home. After getting conned into buying some of the coffee we sampled we realized the package said "coffee powder & vanilla powder" We poured the contents into a jar and it's a white powder with a few black specs. Funny for a coffee plantation to have powdered products. After following the employees instructions of 1 tablespoon of coffee with 250ml of water I have a fresh cup of hot water with hints of coffee and vanilla but no taste.

Definately go for the coffee sampling but don't buy a single thing from this place. Since they don't even sell the product you're sampling.

We purchased the itinerary from kkday to take us to visit this farm.
But when you buy the coffee beans and open them, 100% of them are burnt! You cannot drink the coffee beans you bought at a high price! And there is no expiration date or production date on the coffee bean packaging! There are no ventilation holes, which deceives passengers.
I suggest you that if you want to buy something here, you need to check the contents in detail!

We stopped here as part of a tour of Ubud. The scenery is incredible, feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. The guide explains the process of collecting the droppings and turning it to coffee… then you head in and sit in the beautiful restaurant and have a taster of each of the coffees/tees on offer. After you head to the shop on your way out- we were not hassled or presumed to buy anything in the shop at all and the lady who brought us the tea/coffee was informative and funny! Would 100% reccomend.

It's good to do coffee taste when you visit BUT do not buy, Ive seen reviews online saying that coffee they sell are just sugary drink and no coffee quality...I gave them benefit of the doubt BUT it's true

It never taste the same like what they offer you in the plantation.

I bought 3 coffee and costed me $7 each plus tax so I spent over $20 for everything.... and it was just sugary drink.. you can't taste the coffee flavor...

Don't buy anything

Be aware you are being scammed!!
When you arrive at this plantation you'll get an authentic feeling, but don't be fooled, it's all set up to scam tourists. At first you'll be wowed by the scene especially when you arrive at the tasting area where the let you taste great coffee, tea and chocolate. After the tasting you can buy the products in their little store. We bought goods for around €80, also the Luwak Coffee.
After being back at the hotel I started questioning myself. I didn't see any farms around so where do they process the coffee? You only get to see an old lady baking the coffee, but that's just for marketing.
Secondly, the 'plantation' is not at a remote location, but a few meters from busy roads. I wonder if there are any civet cats living in this area to harvest the beans as they claim.
After reading the reviews here my doubts were confirmed. We also bought chocolate and peeled the wrapping off and behold there was another wrapper underneath. The brand was Lido compound chokelat jeruk, which translates as orange chocolate. A search on Google reveals that this chocolate costs around Rp21000 (€1,20) for 500gr. The price is not even the problem, I could accept buying overpriced stuff to support the locals, but the lie they are selling is the worst. They don't sell artisanal chocolate, but just ordinary chocolate out of factory. That's unacceptable.
I haven't tried the coffee yet, but reading the reviews I don't have any high hopes either.
So be aware, I recommend only to visit this 'plantation' to do the tasting and enjoying the view, but don't buy anything.

We enjoyed the visit until we prepared the cofee at home. Not the same product! Tastes like the cheapest store bought product. Definitely do not buy their overpriced low quality souvenirs. Just enjoy the free coffee and don't feel bad for not buying anything. They don't mind scamming tourists.

DO NOT buy their coffee.

We stopped here for a coffee tour and tasting. The tour and hospitality were excellent! But buyer beware…

They provide a great experience but like all the prior reviews, it’s a SCAM.

Their shop does NOT sell the same coffee you tasted on site. When you open the coffee back at your hotel or back home, it’s a junk product. It’s all sugar and low level coffee / tea.

I wish I read the prior warnings and reviews prior to stopping at this location.

This place was amazing after trekking Mount Batur. Learning how they make their Luwak coffee and how they grow and make chocolate was a great experience. We tried the coffees at another coffee plantation but here we had the opportunity to explore their chocolate tasting. My favorites were the cappuccino and orange chocolates along with Pandan tea and Luwak coffee. Learn, taste and enjoy coffee and chocolate
