We stopped here with our tour group. Our guide was very interesting in the way the farm operated.Never knew there was so much to do in making a pearl. Was very interesting to hear. The setting is old campus and looks over the bay where the oysters live. After the tour we went to the gift shop and we all... More

This is one of those unique, out-of-the-way treasures that just make your trip. The pearls they produce are one-of-a-kind (in the whole world), as they are the only ones to use two clam species that only live in the Gulf of California. This gives their pearls unique greenish/bluish/purplish hues. Plus, these are pearls that you know are not dyed and... More

While I didn't expect much - this was a nice surprise. Douglas and his partners have made this tour into something exciting and amazing. To witness how these pearls are formed and to hear about the modern technology that makes them the best cultured pearl in the world was fascinating - and Douglas is so passionate about this work -... Where else can you experience the cultivation of real pearls. Watch the actual implant of the seed and come back later to see the harvest of a real pearl.

We visited with upper elementary kids and we all enjoyed the tour, very well explained and entertaining. One of the owners takes you down to the farm and shoes all the process to cultivate pearls and you get to touch the clams they are pulling off the water for cleaning. We also purchased couple pearls that are priced reasonably.

Took whole family, including 6 year old, and we were totally entertained by our wonderfull tour guide. He was interesting, funny, and very good with the kids. Starts with a video then he takes you down to the water and their work area. He has great exhibits that he lets you pass around and examine. It ends of course in... More

When in the San Carlos/Guaymas area, you must take this tour. The cost is 50 pesos per person, so our family of four paid about $10 for over an hour tour. Even our children were interested and excited about the whole process. Our guide was very knowledgeable and eager to answer all of our questions. It is the only pearl... More

We arrived at 4:30, and it closed at 5, but they still set up the video tour just for the four of us, which was very insightful! The gentleman there then answered all our questions and then some, giving us above and beyond great service! All of this was offered for free! Plus with the amazing view from the top... More

From start to finish this was totally awesome. To see step by step processing is so interesting especially in this setting...you actually get to see the entire process and it is mind boggling. This is treated as an educational tour, not just as an excuse to sell overpriced jewelry which was the case at other pearl farm tours. It was... More

One of the founders, Douglas McLaurin gave our tour group a wonderful explanation of his company's innovations in culturing pearls. He explained the technology in a very easy to comprehend way and showed us samples of the oysters and demonstrated their technique for opening the oysters without killing the oyster by fracturing its shell.
