I live in San Miguel de Allende and this tour is not good for several reasons. The owner doesn’t know his history, doesn’t give his money to charity, and he’s taking business away from local Mexican operators who are accredited and trained. If you want real SMA history, go with a local guide and honor the local economy. Your experience will be wonderful and you’ll be helping those who could use a little boost right now!…

Thank you Joseph for the lively and informative tour! My girlfriend and I did the History and Culture tour - exploring a series of beautiful churches in downtown San Miguel de Allende’s. I spent 2 weeks in San Miguel and made the mistake of scheduling Joseph's history and culture tour at the end. It was a fantastic overview of the many churches and cultural phenomena that had dominated the sights and sounds of the City throughout my time and I wish I had learned it all earlier! I also would have liked to have done another tour with Joseph perhaps of the cemeteries had I had more time. It was truly a pleasure to be able to pick the brain of someone so knowledgeable, and I highly recommend his tours. He even gifted us books at the end which I fully intend on reading. An absolute treat!…

We greatly enjoyed the two hour historical and culture walking tour with Joseph. It felt a bit like we were in a Mexican Dan Brown novel as history unfolded and layers on layers of hidden symbolism came alive. Joseph is a wonderful story teller with a humble and friendly demeanor that was constantly radiating goodwill to all who crossed our path. It was clear how much he loves this place. His fountain of knowledge on all things San Miguel De Allende seemed inexhaustible. Thanks Joseph!…
