We went at the advice of some friends that had been with other friends several times. Tomas picked us up at the archeological sight we had experienced earlier. He was the nicest guy...warm, charming and an excellent host. When we arrived he showed us around, made us smile and introduced us to his brothers. Others there had just returned from... More

We spent such a great day at the ranch, it was incredible. I really recommend it to everybody who is going to San Miguel de Allende. The view during the tour is incredible, we enjoyed it so much to be in the middle of the nature. We just enjoyed the calm and the piece of this trip. The picked us... More

We had an amazing experience at Rancho Xotolar and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique way to experience Mexico. We took an amazing two-and-a-half hour ride through the beautiful canyons outside of San Miguel de Allende, descended steep mountain paths, galloped through rivers, ate cactus berries and tuna fruits, saw eagles, ancient ruins, and got to... I have been home from SMA for a week now and still cannot stop thinking about our awesome experience with everyone, especially Leo at Rancho Xotolar. From the prompt pick up at our villa/milking a cow/feeding a baby calf/learning how the milk would become the cheese for lunch upon return of our horseback riding adventure and the ride itself. This... More

This was my fifth visit to Xotolar and there are many good reasons why I keep coming back. Experience a real Mexican ranch, see some stunning scenery, enjoy a guided tour on horseback, and top it off with an authentic meal prepared wholly from ingredients produced on the ranch. It's an experience like no other!

We couldn't wait to go back to the ranch and I'm sure we will go again! Leo picked us up this year. The entire family is so kind. The kids always giggle when they get to milk the cow. My youngest son even had the same horse as last year and they're a perfect match! We had a family group... More

It was one of the best tours we ever took in our lifetime. Highly recommended!! Our experience started with warm welcome form the Xotolar Ranch family. They showed us around the house, including the kitchen, garden, and farm, explaining how they live there. After that, they taught us how to milk a cow to make fresh cheese for our lunch.... More

We went as a group of 13, and it was so much fun. The scenery was incredible and the guides had us racing though it having a great time. The guides were all so helpful and friendly, and then we got treated to a fantastic home grown meal including cheese we'd helped make that morning. I would highly recommend a... More

Tomas and Feliz Morin do a great job! The horseback riding can be calm and relaxing or it can be adventurous. With our permission, they had the horses trotting and galloping and we even did a short race. My horse won! They are very attentive to detail and are constantly in the look out for the safety of their customers.... More

This was my favorite part of our SMA visit. I am sure I speak for the 4 of us. Tomas and his family treated us to a spectacular day of riding (this was real riding… not just old pack horses following one another) and a great lunch. The Canyon trail was so beautiful and we experienced a meal made from... More
