Victor was fun, passionate, kind, and very knowledgeable on the colorful history of San Miguel. He started the tour with warm churros for us (yum) also took us through a coffee shop with the best coffee in Mexico (a must stop on our list) and we had an incredible lunch. The tortilla soup was the best I’ve ever had! The pace was perfect and the lunch fun and relaxing. Highly recommend the Landmarks and Lunch tour with Victor as it will set the stage for your visit.

Amazing ! One of the best food tours we ever been on. Our guide Oscar. was the best part of the tour. his knowledge of the city, the history, landmarks, etc. exceeds anything I ever expected. This is a must tour of San Miguel. upon arrival in San Miguel, because you learn so much about what restaurants to eat at landmarks, where to go,etc. I was amazed to learn the history of San Miguel from Oscar. you can tell Oscar really enjoys doing this and has a passion for San Miguel. Which totally rubbed off on us. The food choices he took us to were amazing. just make sure you take a pen and paper or write down because he’s going to tell you all the best places to eat in every category. As I said, we’ve traveled the world in been on many tours, and this is one of the best I’ve ever been on ! Highly recommend and ask for Oscar as guide !

We throughly enjoyed our walking tasting tour with a lot of food history mixed in. Omar was lovely. He is very knowledgeable about Mexico’s complex food history and we got a nice synopsis of Mexico history as well. We had a nice variation of 5 tastings
This is a great way to learn about SMA!

Elisa was our guide and she is wonderful. She shares interesting history about local dishes and recipes, and is a great storyteller in general. The quality of the food and drink in each place where we stopped was outstanding. Fresh hibiscus tea, fresh watermelon juice, tortilla soup with avocado, enchiladas with mole sauce, locally made ice cream, churros- it was ALL delicious.

This is the 3rd time we've taken this tour through the years, but this was the best one yet! We've enjoyed these tours as a way to be introduced to new restaurants and dishes. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on San Miguel history, and really made the tour A+! Highly recommend.

My two friends along with two nice other tourists had a great time. Omar rolled with the punches rather than roll his eyes with our quirky tardy problem child vegan. Omar is in a class by himself, a cut above. History--food and in general, command of at least two languages that he admitted to, an attractive demeanor, humor and panache. As one said, "he ought to have a church named after him," he's just that good. Thank you Omar for you kindness.

Our tour guide, Vail, was an absolute joy to be around. She made the tour so fun with her enthusiasm and love for the city. I went with a group of girls for a Bachelorette Party and she was the best addition to our group!! I have been telling my family and friends all about it!!

We did the original downtown food tour with Vail. It was terrific and all four of us highly recommend the tour. Vail was engaging and enthusiastic. We had quesadillas, tacos, mole enchiladas, 2 desserts and both a classic margarita and a mezcal cocktail. I've never had a churro that tasted that good. And the mezcal cocktail was unique in that it was made with tamarind. We saw many of the sights in town and heard it's rich history from the engaging Vail. Just. Do. It.

Wear study shoes (cobblestones rough) & bring an adventurous Appetite. You're in for a 😋 exploration of Mexico's food traditions: Yucatan Conchinita Pibel. Oaxacan mole, the best churros I've ever eaten. And Omar brought the history of the food to life. Don't miss this 3+ hour tour!
