Oscar has very good English, wove history in with his significant knowledge of tequila, and is quite willing to talk about himself (ask him). The food was superb (vegetarian is an option) and there was plenty to drink (water and wine are options, although you may have to pay for the wine).

Omar was a fantastic tour guide and took us to eat lots of great food around San Miguel. He was so warm, engaged and insightful and really knew his stuff and was so passionate about the city and cuisine. He gave us a fantastic history of Mexico, San Miguel and food culture. If you like food and history, this is definitely worth putting on your itinerary.
