If you don't mind travelling a little above the speed limit, BajioGo is great. I went from MEX to SMA and back using their service. Jonathan was great on the outbound trip - he even looked after my dog outside the car while I used the facilities at a rest stop (it was too hot to leave her in the vehicle). I didn't catch my driver's name on the way back to MEX, but the guy who picked me up was there at 8 on the dot and we all got to Mexico ahead of schedule (bonus - it ended up being a shared ride, so I paid only half of what I'd expected to pay). Their office was unaccountably closed the day before when I went to pay, but it ended up being no problem - they were reachable by phone and said that paying in pesos would be fine. The office in SMA is within a very short walk of the Parroquia so it's easy to pop in and book your return trip, etc. I'd ordinarily take the bus for something like this, but I had my dog, and she'd have had to ride in cargo so no thanks. Very glad BajioGo was accommodating for both of us. Would use again!

This service is the one I will always use to and from the airports in Mexico City & León to San Miguel de Allende.
The service and drivers are quite friendly and take great care of all the passengers on all of the trips I have had with them. They brought my wife and I from the León airport to our domicile here and then when my son came to visit they brought him in from Mexico City. In my humble opinion this is a no brainer for sure!

We were 4 coming in on two different flights. We arranged and prepaid the shuttle service from the US. Even with the logistical need to accommodate the potential of 2 delayed flights, there were no issues with the pick up or drop off. The first driver was from Colorado (US) and told us many interesting anecdotes about SMA (prices, what to watch out for, great local insight) and the second driver was cautious and excellent which is good because there are some crazy bad drivers who will try to overtake into oncoming traffic. I recommend this service as much better and safer than renting a car and driving yourself in this part of Mexico.

Although when booking a private shuttle we explained to management that a driver with some communicational facility was required because we are exclusively English-speaking, the driver (Ana) meeting us at Mexico City airport began by annoncing she only spoke Spanish, with the unfortunate consequence that throughout the 5+-hour journey to San Miguel De Allende our requests for things like bathroom breaks, window adjustment, retrieving things from trunk, selection and volume of radio fell on deaf ears. Nor we offered bottled water and small coins for toilet extrance, and the absence of airconditioning made for further discomfort. But on arrival in SMDA she suddenly exhibited some English comprehension, asking us to help her find our accomodation! All told, a most unsatisfactory, uncomfortable experience!

We signed up for a group tour and it ended up being just the two of us. Our guide Mario was very knowledgeable and gave us an inside look at the city and culture. Since it’s a college town the energy is young. There are a lot of historical sites here. Would highly recommend this company. We used them for transit to and from the airport and they are on time very organized and professional

We used them today to go from QRO to SMA. They delivered us right to our hotel door in the center to casa 88. It took about 1 hr 20min. There was traffic for a while leaving the airport around 2:45 that slowed things down..maybe would be faster if arriving at a different time. We booked the “shared shuttle” @ $25 per person, but we were the only ones on it. The confirmation says it comes with a bottle of water(which it did, per person) & a “city tour” which it does not(ok..just fyi). Our driver didn’t speak English but seemed very nice. His name was Andre. He waited for us 25 min after our arrival, outside arrivals with my name on a sign. They ask for your flight details to track it. The vehicle was very clean & had great ac. I only booked 2 days before arriving-no problems👍

Wow! I booked a ride for a mere $24 USD for the 1 1/2 hour trip (each way) from Leon Airport to San Miguel de Allende. The driver was prompt, the vehicle was clean and safe. Highly recommend!

I just returned from San Miguel de Allende and was referred to this BajioGo by our Airbnb host. This company was very professional, their prices I felt were extremely reasonable. The drivers showed up promptly. The van was clean and well maintained. I cancelled and made changes via email which were always read and responded to promptly. I had some hesitation sending my daughter (age 23) alone on the shuttle, she had a different flight from the rest of us. But there was absolutely no issues at all. I highly recommend this company.

I have used this service many, many times and always recommend it to guests coming to visit, or when someone wants to do a tour. They have been very dependable. One time my wife and I were flying back from DFW to Leon, got bumped so were 4+ hours late, called BajioGo and the driver was there at some ridiculous hour waiting to take us home. The kind of service you don't forget.

When is the latest San Miguel to Mexico airport on March 31sr 2020 ?
Written October 20, 2019
Hello, I am not quite sure what you are asking. If you are hiring a private ride to Mexico City from SMA, you can go any time I imagine. Tell them when your flight is and they will tell you when you must leave. They also have shared rides on that route but be sure that there will be others to share the cost at the time you choose to leave. I ended up having to pay a fortune since I did not confirm this before leaving Mexico CIty once. If your question is different, please try to clarify. Thanks for asking!!

I believe it was $24 for just me from BJX to my friends apt in central SMdA for a shared shuttle (which i was the only passenger in). This was back in May. It was a perfectly safe and comfortable trip. The driver met me at the airport and dropped me in front of my friends place.

What's the price for picking up one person at San Leon airport, bringing him to SMA and return him to San Leon 4 days later?
Written September 7, 2019
I do not know that price exactly, but you can inquire at their website. The round-trip from Queretero Airport to SMA ran US$48 which I charged to my credit card on-line. The distance from Leon/Silao Airport to SMA is about the same and so the fare should be about the same. BTW, "Bajio" refers to this region in the central highlands of Mexico, including Guanajuato and Queretero States.
