Archaeologist-Led Cañada de La Virgen Pyramid Tour

432 reviews
Get an inside look at what it takes to uncover ancient ruins by visiting Cañada de La Virgen on an archaeologist-led tour. Your guide took part in the site’s 2004 excavation, giving him a unique insight into the relatively-recently uncovered Mesoamerican complex. As you tour the site he can share details you can’t discover on your own and would likely miss on a different guided tour.

First thing you see are lots and lots of ceramics, both huge and small. Then you see the masks, again large and small. And there is lots more to see. Great place to visit even if you are nort interested in buying. Staff patient and informative

Very nice store on the way to Aurora Fabrica that is worth stopping at if you are into folk art. The pieces are of high quality, whether ceramics, copper or whatever. Worth a stop.

This gallery should be on any art lover's not to miss list. It's simply an excellent display, like a few other places in SMA you will feel like you are in a small museum.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owner and learning some of the background behind the beautiful work from Michoacan. We bought a few pieces we will long enjoy.
