Alberto took our family of three out around Atotoniclo for a 20 km ride. We told him that we would like to see some wildlife and learn about the plants. The landscape was just stunning. We saw a black-tailed jackrabbit and lots of birds which Beto was able to identify. He also taught us about the cactus, agave and other... More

Finding Alberto was a great thing; meeting him the day before our "tour" increased the excitement for our trip; and having him lead our small group of 2 was the best. Alberto coordinated so both of us, unknown to each other before the ride, could squeeze in a ride starting at the dam (La Presa), through the countryside, partially along... More

We did Tour 2 (La Gruta-Cruz del Palmar-Atotonilco-La Gruta) and Beto was a great guide who took time along the route to explain where we were and what used to be in the area. The bike equipment was great, one of the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden on. He did a good job of making sure everyone in the... More

Great tours of the countryside around San Miguel. Tours are usually about 4 hours, under 40 kilometer, mostly easy riding on great mountain bikes. The owner and guide, Alberto, speaks English, is very helpful and is very knowledgeable about all things San Miguel

The ride started from the parking lot of the La Gruta hot springs about 15 minutes north of town and headed out into the countryside and we were soon on doubletrack and singletrack. Not flat but not super hilly. I think our 21 mile ride had about a 1000 feet of climbing. The bike I used was in good shape... More

This was an enjoyable and adventure filled day, mountain biking in the hills north of San Miguel de Allende. Our English speaking guide Alberto was great. He added a lot of interesting historical facts to the tour, we began by stopping at the 18th century mystical shrine of Atotonilco, considered the Mexican Sistine Chapel. We rode for 3+ hours on... The bikes are highest quality mountain bikes, well maintained with all the latest features. We took two trips with Alberto, our experienced and knowledgeable guide, through fascinating countryside. A great day out with a real enthusiast.

Beto of Bici-Burro leads super fun bike tours from San Miguel de Allende. The day I rode with him we covered about 30km through the beautiful countryside outside of town a bit on unpaved roads and trails. The ride was very doable with short moderately challenging sections (I'm 64 yr old female recreational cyclist, no mountain biking expert). Beto provides... More
