Amazing place to visit. Takes a few hours but worth the time. You are allowed to actually walk up the stairs and touch history. Not at all crazed with tourist so you have time to really experience the pyramid.

Went with Albert Coffee who gave us a very detailed and interesting tour of the pyramid followed by a wonderful country lunch. We hiked out to the edge of the canyon after lunch and sat looking over the beautiful scenery. It was a wonderful day.

Go with a guide who is an anthropologist or archeologist so that you can get all the info on this fascinating Mesoamerican historical site. We booked through Coyote Canyon Adventures and were quite pleased with our guide.

This archeological gem is not to be missed. A wonderful portal into history, with a nice visitor center and a lovely little museum. There is a fair amount of walking (at elevation) so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. A wonderful experience.

This pyramid was recently excavated and is in a pretty rustic area so be prepared for a 20 min taxi ride to the "visitor center", then a 7 kilometer ride in a shuttle type bus after you pay the entrance fee, then a 2 kilometer...More
