No matter when we visit El Jardin, there is always something happening that we didn't expect. It may be a parade, it may be a band, a wedding, a funeral, the large puppets, a floral display, the Cubans...always something of a surprise.

How different to see this vibrant public place early morning after having first seen it at night. It pulses with life at all hours, truly a SMA meeting place. The colorful street vendors are pleasantly un-pushy.

Many seating areas are around this city. Great place to take a break with some amazing views and grab a drink and just soak in the culture.

This seems to be the meeting place in town, ringed by restaurants and gift shops. You can sit there and watch the passing parade, listen to a solo guitarist play and learn about the people and the culture of this great town.

You'll love the people watching, the fountains, the locals and las turistas! It's the center of the city, from which all activities spring. It's a different experience every time you go....day of the dead, blessing of the horses, christmas.....enjoy!

My first ever private Mariachi Band! Best 200 Pesos spent in SMA. Actually hanging out and people watching is free and on a Friday or Saturday evening, is very entertaining; likely my #1 favourite SMA activity. So few Gringos like me and so many Mexicans,...More

Sorry, I don't know. The streets are really narrow and cobblestone. As are the sidewalks. I walk everywhere, but I have not seen anyone on a bike. Have a great trip.
