We came here wanting to experience something different to another spring we already knew and were nicely surprised! This a picnic place, people carried all sorts of food with them, a barbecue as well? I'm not sure! The only "bad part" was that the rest areas are so far away from the entrance to the caves. You must come with... More

We ended up here because La Grotto was unexpectedly closed. Our driver said that maybe we should try this instead. It was difficult to figure out exactly what to do, and there wasn't really anyone to ask. We finally made our way to what seemed like man made covered pool like structures. The water was not very hot, adn it... More

Gorgeous tiled (indoor) springs on a beautiful property - the park was lovely to sunbathe in, I had an excellent outdoor massage, and loved the baths. Restaurant had simple but delicious food, and excellent pina coladas. Will continue to come every year!

This was a nice park and we had a relaxing day there. The hot springs are not very hot and the outdoor pools are little more than warm swimming pools. The indoor spring was better, but small and not much warmer. Still, we enjoyed the visit. The grounds are nice, but not as nice as Las Gruta.

We took a taxi to El Escondido, which is about 10 km from SMA. The grounds are extensive and you can bring a blanket and sit on the lawn or find a lounge chair by one of the pools. Bring your own food or buy something in one of the snack stands. There are pools of varying degrees of heat,... More

My family really loved this place, we went for the hot springs and stayed for the restaurant. The food and service at the restaurant was great, had a couple of drinks and just took in the day, nice weather and not to busy, just great. Many pools to enjoy. cost is 120 pesos per person, take your own towel, they... More

Such a fun relaxing spot in the exit of San Miguel. Not a fancy spa but still great location and beautiful surroundings. Love it

I've been to Escondido Place many times, maybe over 100 times over the years (the competition is La Gruta, less than 1/4 mile away). The property is fantastic to walk around (with several warm pools for swimming), but my favorite is the enclosed three rooms with hot water for soaking. Because they leave the chorros (gushes of hot water coming... More

It is hard to believe that a pine forest, mulitple hot bathing pools, restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, lovely lounges and even covered bed sized private lounges like at the beach resorts are ours to enjoy for 120 pesos a person. The pools are spotless as are the restrooms and areas to keep your cloths. The ample parking lot and wonderful... More

Our friend who lives in SMA took us here on our third visit . They have lockers for your personal items and were able to change there. The caves were very welcoming and they also have an out door pool. We saw many families spending the day there and they were familiar with El Escondido. Wish they had a Cafe... More
