This is by far one of the most beautiful night spots I have ever scene. They light up the entire facade which makes a lovely destination for a walk after dinner. Beautiful.

The most splendid of the many splendid churches in San Miguel de Allende. It is an unusual, but attractive and engaging, combination of Gothic and Baroque styles, and it is perfectly located facing the main plaza. I happened to witness a wedding service there one...More

WIth lights always trained on the spires of La Parroquia at night, a sense of fairyland pervades. Families mill around, as well as lovers and the usual turistas. You'll find women and men selling artifacts, jewelry, food, kids playing with rocket size balloons, locals, ex-pats,...More

We had the opportunity to spend dia de los muertos here. An amazing experience. Beautiful view of the church in the plaza. Great for kids and families. Not big if you are into the party scene. I heard the one in Mexico City is wild....More

Lovely plaza with some great architecture surrounding it. Many shops and restaurants at the plaza. Lots of vendors and activities around the plaza. Very picturesque area.

A lovely church to enter and see the incredible architecture work. Plan about 15 minutes to browse. Right off the centro of San Miguel and near good dining options.

We were in San Miguel for Dia de Muertos, and got to do down in the crypt, which was fascinating. We were told that it's only open this time of year.

Church wedding in PV (1 Replies)
PV locals, ex-pats, avid travelers - Does anyone know of a charming colonial church in Puerto Vallarta or surrounding region that rents out their facility. We are not Catholic, we would like to use our own officiant (Protestant), and plan to get married Feb 15, 2014. Thoughts on Parroquia de San Miguel - Arcangel? New Dawn Christian Center? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
