The Parroquia restaurant has been in business for more than 30 years. Though it has recently changed owners, it maintains the same menu and standards it has always had. Good honest Mexican food with some French and Mediterranean dishes which were set by its original owner. They serve a daily prefix menu that includes an appetizer. main dish, dessert and... More

Tourists are welcome to come into the church at almost anytime. Built mainly from a picture postcard - it is the best meeting point in town.

An amazing structure not to be missed if you travel to central Mexico. The cathedral and the plaza in front are almost surreal. We entered and we no less impressed with the architecture. At night the cross on the peak is lit up which makes it iconic.

Located in the centro de San Miguel, people visit this gorgeous work of architecture all day long. The plaza is right next to it and there is always music and fun surrounding it, late into the night.

This is where everything happens. Everyone is there. Classes, tours, food and drink, tourists and locals. You haven't seen San Miguel de Allende if you haven't been here.

This is the main building in San Miguel, it is a beautiful church outside and inside. People are always outside of the church playing with traditional Mexican balloons or other little toys. You can take great pictures here.

This cathedral, the symbol of San Miguel, is in the very heart of the city. It's most unusual in that it dates to the 17th century but was given a neo-Gothic makeover in 1880. It faces a beautifully manicured park, El Jardin, which is an ideal spot for watching the rosy hued facade of the church change colors at dusk.

The first place I take my guests is to The Jardin, or Plaza, in the center of town to see the Parroquia. It is breathtakingly beautiful. I take them during the day, and again at night when it looks like a Disneyland castle. It is old, although not as old as the city, but still spectacular, and is truly the... More
