We only spent a short time strolling thru the galleries and shops, but throughly enjoyed all we saw... This is a former textile factory now home to many artists. You can easily make this an entire day visit, eating lunch in the cafe.

San Miguel is filled with artisans and beautiful crafts. If you wish to purview higher-level art and anitiques, don't miss the Fabrica. It's a converted warehouse filled with galleries, artwork and larger-furniture pieces, plus a sweet cafe for resting and meeting with friends. A lovely walk from Central San Miguel.

A longish walk from Centro because it's all uPhilly. We took the road less traveled and almost missed the turn off the main road. Found lots of interesting galleries featuring art at many prices, lowish to high. Enjoyed lunch on the shady back terrace attached to Geek & Coffee. A pleasant and stimulating afternoon.

By far an art lovers dream where you can wander through high end galleries and art studios. Highly recommend James Harvey's work in #9D, which is done on fabric panels and very original work. I also liked the work by Mexican artist Rodolfo Camacho with his huge scale encaustic work. This is a great place to spend 1-2 hours looking... More

Your eyes get dazzled and your spirits get uplifted...shopping,arts,restaurants,plants and visually stunning displays... you look in and find people in art classes looking thoughtfully at their projects... the ambience encourages the visitor to stroll slowly and enjoy their feast of visual delights

Excellent place to go for a stroll through the shops. Beautiful art, beautiful designers of jewelry, clothing, antiques along with a a couple of places to eat lunch, drink coffee etc while taking a break. It's quite expansive and on our visit we spent 4 hours there. I can imagine people living in SMA purchasing items for their homes here.... More

A fascinating repurposing of an old factory. Some great shops and galleries. A short taxi ride from the Centro.

If you enjoy art, this is a great place to visit in San Miguel. There is an abundance of art galleries featuring a wide variety of art. Everyone we met was friendly & helpful. You can also schedule art classes, including sculpture. In addition, the non-art shops have very nice and mostly non-touristy items for sale. Nice outdoor cafe. Worth... More
