Great place to get perspective of the beauty of San Miguel. It’s a bigger community than I originally thought and quite beautiful.

It is a hike from centro, but we thought it was worth it. Nice (uphill) walk through the neighborhood to a small terrace with a great view of SMA. If you time it right, you can stop for a beer on your way back down.

San Miguel de Allende looks amazing at street level, but it looks even better from above. Thankfully it’s not too difficult to get a fantastic panoramic view of the city. It’s only about a 15-20 minute walk from the plaza up to the viewpoint, which is known as El Mirador. If you take Bus 8 or 9 from town it stops at the Mirador. Cost is 8 pesos.
