Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Canada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. If you are interested in adventure tours we can offer activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling... We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Canada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area. And many other activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling...

Another great ride

I keep going back on Coyote Canyon trips because they are all awesome. The people are great, the food deliciously traditional and the countryside is absolutely beautiful.

COYOTE CANYON ADVENTURES Take a tour of Cañada de la Virgen, the indigenous ruins about 10 miles from town. There are Spanish language tours frequently, but if you are not fluent, pay the higher fee for the Anthropologist Alberto Alveleyro to take you out there. It is not a glamour site like those in the Yucatan, but it is interesting... More

The other reviews don't exaggerate. This trip was the highlight of our stay in Mexico. A storm the night before led to some flooding. Our full-day excursion was reduced to a half day to allow the floodwaters to subside. Coyote Canyon was responsive and helped coordinate the new schedule. We loved the farmhouse lunch (fresh cheese was amazing) to start... More

Rodrigo was a wonderful host. The vaqueros were attentive and friendly. The ride was both exciting and pleasant. I highly, highly recommend these folks.

We visited “La Cañada de la virgen” and Dr. Rossana Quiroz was our superbly informed guide. Under lowering stormy skies she explained the extraordinary history of this magical place. This was followed by a lunch in a local ranch, a fitting conclusion to a memorable day..thank you Coyote Canyon Adventures!

Rodrigo runs a first class operation. This tour of Cañada de la Virgen is a "must do" when in San Miguel de Allende. Dr. Rossana Quiroz is the most knowledgeable tour guide one could have. Her experience working on the site as an archaeologist brought insight about the vastness of this amazing site. The lunch at the ranch was simply... More

Fantastic tour - Alberto is a degreed Anthropologist and was extremely knowledgeable. Book the lunch afterwards with freshly grown produce on the ranch.

Wonderful wine tour with Diego; our kind and professional guide who picked us up from our hotel on time and took us to 2 great vineyards. We learnt so much and also discovered that México's wine is quite exquisite in this region. At the Dos Búhos vineyard we had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Edubiges a very knowledgeable lady in...
