We took a riding trip through lots of nature and with very sturdy and reliable horses. Amazing adventure, family friendly.

Muy daughter and I took this trip recently, which started off by visiting a farm and having a home-made breakfast with very friendly people. We (pretended to) help out by making some tortillas, picking eggs and milking a goat. The horse trek afterwards was beautiful...More

A great guide, beautiful scenery, wonderful horses, and a delicious Mexican lunch after the ride. I would highly recommend this 1/2 day riding adventure. The guides were professional, the horses well trained and sure footed (hoofed). From the bottom of the canyon, to the top...More

Great experience which started with the driver not being able to find the stables. It started "low" and finished "high"! great for people who like to ride and know something about riding and horses. Definitely one of our highlights or our visit to San Miguel!

My boys (ages 7 and 10) and my husband and I had the BEST time on our canyon horseback ride. The horses were incredibly well trained and gentle, and the cowboys were so kind to my boys, especially my youngest who was terrified to be...More

Wasn't sure what to expect but everything was very well-organized and professional. Had never ridden a horse and it turned out to be easier - and so much more fun - that I thought it would be. We rode through a gorgeous canyon, through shallow...More

Alberto Aveleyra is as much of a gem as the pyramid itself. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of his subject matter, and is passionately involved with the archaeological development of the area, and the wider context of Mexico's exploration of its history. We were lucky,...More

Monique and the cowboys were incredible on our trip. The scenery, the food, the ride, all are breath taking. Always felt safe on the trails with the horses and comfortable at camp. Dont miss the chance to do experience something outside the box.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Alberto was our guide and as described in the other reviews, he was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable, responsive to our questions, fluent in English, patient, and personable. Such a special site so close to SMA. We were only...More

Trip Report - 2nd Visit to SMA & Dia de los Muertos (Long) (10 Replies)
We recently spent 8 nights in SMA (October 29 - November 6). This was our second trip and we wanted to return during a festival time as we somehow missed that the first time around. Since we prefer to travel during the fall, we decided that Dia de los Muertos would be a fun time to visit. We flew into Leon and used BajioGo shared shuttle service from the airport to town. We used BajioGo previously and found them professional and prompt. We rented a casa through Premier San Miguel, who we...More
