Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Cañada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Cañada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area.

Wonderful wine tour with Diego; our kind and professional guide who picked us up from our hotel on time and took us to 2 great vineyards. We learnt so much and also discovered that México's wine is quite exquisite in this region. At the Dos Búhos vineyard we had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Edubiges a very knowledgeable lady in... Decided to see what this was about and took my daughter. The zip lines were awesome and very secure. Equipment was top notch and we loved our guides.

Taking a cue from the Bible, my husband and I saved the best for last and the day before our return back to reality went on “The Route of the Pyramids - Peralta and Plazuelas Archaeological Sites” with Coyote Canyon Adventures. We were picked up by our expert guide and anthropologist, Alberto Aveleyra Talamantes, and his affable sidekick, Diego, at... More

Wonderful adventure and memorable day! Perfect for a day away from the cobble stones and the busy streets of San Miguel. Well behaved and well-kept horses will take you through the river and up the mountain side on a rugged path to the top of the crest for a spectacular view of the canyon! This tour is top notch has... I have been to San Miguel de Allende 4 times in as many months. Every trip I was hoping to squeeze in time for an activity with Coyote Canyon Adventures. Thankfully, this last trip it worked out. I am now back at home in California and still cannot stop thinking of the absolutely amazing day that I had with them.... More

My family and I went on the half day Coyote Canyon horseback tour across working ranches and the largest canyon in GTO. This is far from the boring head to tail trail rides we have been on in the states....climbs can be steep on rugged terrain and you can out and out gallop at points if you choose. While none... I would highly recommend this tour especially with our guide, Alberto Aveleyra. This site has only been recently opened to the public and the number of visitors is restricted so we were able to take our time to explore without crowds. Alberto was very knowledgeable about the natural and cultural history of the site; he answered our many questions and... More

We started the day being picked up by Alberto. He was amazing and was very knowledgeable. We were met at the site by Rosanna. These two guides are the very best for a tour of Canada de la Virgin. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. After the tour we stopped at the Museo de Astronomia per... More

It wasn't our first time riding horses, but it was the first time riding off-road (the first part of the tour is at the town's outskirts). It's nice to ride on the town's streets, watching all the beautiful old houses, and the Benito Juarez Plaza is beautiful at night, and you ride right through it.

our group of older adults were treated to an outstanding tour of the pyramid and ruins of canada de la virgen. our guide, alberto, picked us up in SMA in his comfortable suv and drove us the 30 minute trek to the national park. we explored the visitor center first and then took an easy walking tour of the ruins...
