Was surprised to see all the amenities. Food carts, restaurants, souvenir shacks and of course the raccoons. Able to rent bicycles and a leisurely walk or ride to the end of the pier flanked by the ocean and the river inlet. Saw barges, container ships amongst the local fishermen. Friendly atmosphere with lots of multigenerational family enjoying the scenery. Would definitely return and the next time spend more time at the beach.

Great for walking or biking and having sea and birds at both sides while lot of raccoons crossing the road. Bikes are special and for rental because sit 4-5 persons. It is like 1 mile walk each way and lighthouse is at the end. It is right at Miramar beach.

This is a wall that runs 1.5km out to sea. Early in the morning there are people jogging, walking and cycling. There are raccoons living in the rocks that come out to be fed late afternoon. At the end you can often see dolphins in the mouth of the Panuco river. This New Year’s Day they had the second 3km race with 500 runners. There are some souvenir stalls on the escolleras and shops and food stands at the beginning. You can hire bikes from a couple of places.

This 2.6 Km. long jetty is located right at the south part of Miramar Beach. If you walk on the paved surface you will have on your right the Panuco River mouth onto the sea and on your left the ocean waters of the Gulf of México. If you stay long enough you might have the chance to sea dolphins or porpoises jumping out of the water, as well as the catch of many fishermen.
