Deep travel at this Indian mission, good place to relax and walk among the giants, very peaceful, had a cool drink and a fruit snack , thought somebody was watching from behind. Very mystic.

This was the first stop on our tour to Batopilas, we were there at around 9.30am. It was still cold, but it was very quiet and peaceful and we really enjoying clambering amongst the enormous rocks. It is well worth a stop if you're passing, the rock formations are very impressive.

Rocks that have been shaped by the weather. Sorry but it was uninteresting and boring. I could find nothing to get exited about.

the ride out was through ejido land being farmed and grazed and locals were about going to school and gathering wood and tending their local homes. The rock formations were awesome. The people were very friendly and helpful...

I love exploring and valleys have their own unique villages and customs. This should be on your list.

We drove a 4 wheel drive on many roads in the back country, including all the way to the Valley of the Monks. The indians are an interesting group but not friendly at all. They don't like their pictures taken, are very private. But there is lots to see if you like nature. See my review of Batopilas for more... More

The rock formations are amazing. We enjoyed just seeing the formations of mushrooms, frogs, they are so realistic.

Beautiful valley filled with rounded topped stone monoliths, some 15 to 20 meters tall. Really an amazing place with some incredible far off views, especially if you take a side trail up to the top of a plateau with views of the continental divide. Valleys spread out below with a rancho scattered about here and there. One of those spots,... More

Don't miss this - take a ATV there and see the other valleys and the lake. Amazing scenery! Try to spend time there walking and climbing around.
