We took another break from our drive from PP to SR at this bridge. It was about two hours from Prei Kuk.
The bridge was quite solid in appearance given its age but cars and trucks no longer can drive over it.
The naga statues graced each side end of the bridge which was quite common.
Since there was little water flow we clambered down the embankment and walked under the bridge. All the stones just fit tightly together without any mortar. Amazing construction from so long ago in history.

Spean (or Bridge) Praptos is well worth a quick viewing if you’re in the area….I don’t think I would go out of my way to view this, but given that we were traveling between Siem Reap and the Mekong, it was a good stopping point to stretch our legs. The signage on the bridge provides good history of the Spean, or at least, what history they have on the bridge. Not a must see, but good stopping point if traveling around.

As others have said, I wouldn't make a special trip to visit here, but if you are en route by it, then it's definitely worth a stop.
Only mopeds or pedestrians can use the bridge now. As well as being called Spean Praptos, you might also hear it referred to as the King Jayavaman VII Bridge as it was built in the 12th Century during his reign - which is pretty impressive! Especially when you consider how much rainfall they get every year during the wet season.
We walked across the bridge whilst our mini-bus did a detour to meet us on the otherside. There's a toilet stop, plus some good local street food in case you're hungry.

We had cycled up from Phnom Penh and this was our last stop to Siem reip. As we cycled into town we passed a sign on the right side of the road 'wifi and coffee' which was a welcome stop! This was an English School called New Ideas Foreign Language School. An absolute highlight of our trip! Bun Sokear runs a small English school there for local children and we came back in the evening and spoke to two of his classes of students. Sokear was so welcoming and friendly and also recommended a very good guesthouse called the Mei Bo, on the left hand side before the market.
I can't recommend this enough if you want to chat and hang out with some locals in a relaxing garden setting.

60km south east of Siem Reap on the main N6 highway is this bridge. Its called Preah Tis Bridge and is in the village Kompong Kdei. At almost 300ft long it has a Naga serpent at each end. It is at least 900 years old. A recent bypass means that the N6 just scoots around it.

We stopped to see this bridge on the way to Siem Reap. The structure is very old but honestly, there is not much to see, good for a 5 minutes stop and a couple of pictures.

There's a really beautiful ancient bridge since Angkor era(11th century) and it look really good like new. The historian or archaeologist is going to love the architecture how the ancient time made such a beauty at that time.
Deep down 15km north from the the main road, they have an irrigation system for the agricultural sites. It's an tourist attraction as well.
Don't forget to check out this place, guarantee it'll blow you mind.

The old bridge is great, the best part of this area is the people. Little township with a reasonable sized markets, a visit to the Help2Help facility and their restaurant is a must do.

We stopped by this historical bridge to take some photos, get some drinks, and go to the pay-to-use washroom. The washroom is decent and clean.

I think the map is wrong on this article as shows it just outside Siem Reap town, when in fact it's 60km away. Can anyone update it?
