Lovely museum set in well maintained and lovely setting. The maritime museum is full of interesting exhibits and the staff were very attentive and eager to help. It is a wheel chair friendly venue and all the exhibits could be enjoyed. Very impressive lime works and a surprise to find them in such a place. Very informative displays with commentary in both French and English. It is also child friendly with plenty for them to retain interest in. Very cheap entrance fees making it cheap for family. Lovely place highly recommended.

Closed to save money ( perhaps so this can be spent on salaries for wife and children of politicians.

A local organisation collected four thousand signatures against closing, to no avail.
Government officials did not even answer letters proposing solutions.
