Definitely, this is the most beautiful waterfall in the Peneda-Geres National Park, but no easy access.
You will need to trail down to the main lagoon area, through a stone path, scrambling over very slippery rocks and then through a tricky path down the side of the falls.
The views all the way down are amazing, with beautiful small lagoons, waterfalls and dense luxurious forests.
It's certainly worth the journey!
P.S. The water is very very cold!!

I visited that waterfall in October 2020. It is beautiful and impressive. To me it got an easy access. We parked next to the bridge, then we had to walk downstairs - it was not too difficult. Definitivelty worth seeing.

While in Geres this had still a lot of water despite all the others having dried out. Beautiful to visit and take a dip since the watter is never too cold despite being always flowing. ATTENTION: Access is difficult and the rocks are very very slippery when wet. Bring footwear with a lot of grip and avoid waking barefoot over the slippery rocks. Not suitable for children or reduced mobility. Do not go down if it is raining since the slope and the slipery rocks will make it very dangerous when returning to the car.

Geres is absolutely stunning and is a must to visit. Our last stop was the waterfalls and we went to the smaller one out of the two as the bigger one was too dry.
It was very nice to swim in the natural lagoons BUT please be very careful.
The rocks can be very slippery and whilst we were there a young girl sitting no more than 10ft away slipped and fell 10 m or so down to the lagoon hitting herself many times on the rocks on the way. Rescuers were called but the last we heard was she had a serious brain injury and is still in a coma.
The next day we were on another trip and the guide told us that on the same day another 38 year old lady who was at the higher waterfall drowned. Very very sad and shook us up so PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL !!!!!!!!

This waterfall is of course, beautiful but wanted to warn people who visit to be VERY careful.
We just saw a young guy slip and fall down this waterfall. He was very badly hurt. Also, one of our party and another woman slipped on the rocks and fell.
Not wanting to scare people away, but please just take extra care on this waterfall. There are other waterfalls that are less dangerous around.

A shampoo brand called Tahiti shot a commercial film here, so I guess this must be the most tropical waterfall in Portugal.

Beautiful place to go near Gerês.
The access is not easy so prepare yourself to be very cautious during the descend.
The rest is just amazing: very cold water and close to the nature.
Can be over-crowded during weekend and in August and that's a pity specailly because people don't take care of their own garbish.
If you don't know the place just don't jump to the water. Can be very dangerous

Beautiful cristal clear water, with a difficult access path to swim, but wondrous setting! Bring swimming suit, photo camera and good company :)

Portugal and its charms, the Minho is beautiful and everything that surrounds the Peneda-Gerês National Park is wonderful and magical. Pure nature, this and other waterfalls not to be missed.

This waterfall has two access trails. One (on the left) leads to the downstream, the other (one the right) is quite perilous but allows you to bathe on the upperside of the waterfall.
