Cascata do Arado is situated in Peneda-Geres NP. It is nice place: river, small bridge, few steps to the view point of the waterfall. I would say that the only disadvantage is the easy accessibility. There leads a wide sandy road from the main road to the very point next to the bridge and then only few steps are sufficient to get to the river. And even young people are really coming by car there, although there is a parking space at the main road approx. 10 min. away (nice walk by the way). I can imagine that there must be so many people in high season! We visited it during our hike from Ermida and it wasn´t demanding to get there. Went there with a group of six clients. Good place for picnic and for hiking. A bit crowded but plenty of room for everyone

I've seen some incredible waterfalls around the world, but this one may have been the most beautiful of all. Moderately steep hike down to the water and you can go swimming as well (we went in March and it was freezing, but I imagine it's better in the summer).
