A wonderful find for a walk after our evening meal
Jul 2021
Each evening of our stay in Blyth, we would have a wander along the sea front and end up at Ridley Park.

What a lovely place for a stroll, with people playing tennis, Children playing in either of the super looking play parks, people exercising their dogs or just like ourselves and enjoying the surrounds

There were some really nice, almost 3D murals on the back of buildings.

There was toilet blocks, although I suspect they were not open at night.

As an ex bowler, I was a wee bit sad to see two green there that were obviously no longer user for the game.

There seemed to be a café, but again unopened at night.

Locals were very friendly. On each of visits, someone stopped to say hello and tell us something about the park.

This park was even better than I imagined and made our visit to Blyth all the more enjoyable

This moderately sized park has been really well thought out with play spaces for 2 childrens age groups, lovely flowered retreat, well looked after flower beds, pristine war memorial, cafe with outdoor seating, bird viewing area, tennis court homage to stan laurel. All in all full marks for accessible welcoming use of space.

Lovely park

Cycled through the park today, so well maintained, lots of people around but all maintaining a safe distance, was surprised to see the play areas were being fully utilised, great facility, hope the residents continue to appreciate what they have on their door step!

Ridley Park in Blyth
Mar 2020 • Family
Ridley park is a lovely park with play areas built for different age groups & a splash zone which looks like great fun in the summer months. Kids can run around through various structures getting sprayed with water. Bathers definitely needed & towels & dry clothes. Lovely cafe in the park, gorgeous gardens & I believe an area where you can buy plants for your garden.

Great splash zone
Aug 2019
Awesome day out, best for everything, Park, splash zone in the summer, which does get quite busy, packed lunch on he grass, or meal at the cafe. A short walk or mini drive takes you to the beach too. Love Blyth...

An accident waiting to happen!
Apr 2019 • Family
As someone who goes with family I notice that most of the time there are water features available there appears to be accidents involving small children, which usually require ambulances present. I don't believe the water features are as safe as they can be however I know the sand is replaced at least once a year as I replaced it once with school

Water Sunshine and Fun
Jul 2019 • Family
Absolutely packed so hard to get parked but great fun as always... Lunch can be either a picnic or at the little cafe on the green which has toys for the kids to play. There’s a water play park, good amenities, 2 play parks for the kids with a good selection of equipment. In fine weather there’s an ice cream van and a few bouncy castles and a carousel.
