Me and my girlfriend went there last summer and had an amazing time. The staff there were amazing. I had never been surfing before but with the help of Damien and Rasta (the two English speaking instructors) who were very knowledgeable and experienced instructors I was riding waves by the end of the week. They also made us feel very much at home while we stayed there.

Took my 9 year old son to the fantastic little village of Loredo. The guys at La Curva are simply the best. Legendary. Great close tuition with English speaking surf teachers. Felt completely comfortable and safe with Rasta, Damian and Çesar teaching him in beautiful waves at pristine Somo, Langre and Loredo beaches. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Just go!

Damian, Elena, Chris, Toto the glorious golden labrador, Kintastic, Ane, the list goes on......everyone involved in la cuerva really devotes themselves to the glory, joy and celebration of the hard sport of surfing. There's everything you need and advice throughout for all levels or aspirations. An inspiration.......just visit if you are passing through Loredo, but we couldn't recommend them more highly.....Amazing!

Went for just two days and it wasn't enough! I had so much fun I wish I could have stayed for longer.

Instructor was great, patient and supportive. He had a great sense of humor and kept my friend and I engaged and willing to try even after we felt like our arms were going to fall off. Beginners class was low stress and hands on.

Beach is just around the corner within 5 min walking distance from the school. Waves were long, regular, and the water was cool but not cold.

Great introduction to surfing and made me seriously consider skipping my flight so that I could stay a little bit longer.

Of the surf camps I've been to, this has been by far the best experience - in fact every aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations :)
The staff are brilliant, they couldn't do enough to help me and were just great fun to hang out with.
The business is professional, the surf tuition very good.
The local beach offers a wave for pretty much every surfing ability; there are safari's to other beaches on offer too.
The shop is well stocked, even the rental kit is high quality and there's a good variety of rental boards if you like to try different things.
The standard of local accommodation is very good.
I've already booked a return visit for in a few months time!
10/10.
Gracias La Curva!! :)

Was here for the last week of May, at the end of the off-season, as a bit of an escape from London for a holiday with a bit more of a purpose.

The team there is great - and there's a real sense that the instructors love what they do and they are genuinely lovely people.

And very patient... I'm a pretty inflexible, poorly balanced 6ft 5 mal-coordinated giant but after making some slow progress over the course of 5 days, even I managed to get on my feet properly on the last few days and rode a couple of lovely open waves all the way into the beach. Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it.

Will definitely be coming back next year and bringing people with me.

I booked a weekend away surfing in Loredo through La Curva surf school and they were really helpful from start to finish. Both Damian and Rasta were great instructors getting the whole party standing at one stage or another and letting people do as much or as little as they wanted. They also provided lots of suggestions for some great lunches and evening entertainment! I would definitely go back and chill out with them again.

Fantastic long weekend in Loredo with a group of limited ability surfers! Surfing lessons 11-1 every day with unlimited use of the kit. Damian was brilliant - fun and informative sessions that got most of the group standing up. Loredo is a quiet village to be in - the one local karoake club kicks off at about 2am if that is what you are after. Easy to get to Santander for a evening/ night out. Hotel was perfect for what we needed - close to the beach and centre of village. Would highly recommend for anyone.

Learning surfing in Loredo with my team taught by Rasta and Damian was a great experience. Not only did they have great equipment and were highly experienced professionals with 30+ years of surfing under their belt but they also quickly spotted where each student is at and how best to help them. The logistics and going to different beaches and trying different boards made the whole learning process a smooth highly enjoyable ride. I had never tried surfing before and they helped me to gradually improve day by day till I could finally stand up for longer periods. I know I am still at the beginning of my journey, but I would be very happy to go back to Loredo and learn more from them. I highly recommend the school.

La Curva provided my boyfriend and I with a thoroughly enjoyable week of surfing.

The instructors we had (Damian and Rasta) were both fun and knowledgeable. They were great at teaching us too. They gave the school a really friendly, chilled out atmosphere, while making the surf lessons enjoyable and developmental.

We met up for a surfing lesson every morning and chose to go back for some more surfing in the late afternoon. We were part of a group of four surfers in our lessons, which was nice and small - great for learning - and as a bonus, the other two were really nice.

The beach was barely a 5 minute walk from the surf school and hotel (we stayed in Hotel Costa Mar), so it was easily doable in bare feet; we didn't need to worry about leaving belongings on the beach because we just walked down in wetsuits and left everything else in our room.

I would definitely go again.
