Together with a friend I went on a summer surftrip to Loredo. It would be our first time to surf and we booked this surf school based on the positive recommendations that we found. We can definitely add to these; thanks to Mario and his team we had a lovely surfing week.
We were very warmly welcomed by them on the first day and they taught with the same enthuasiasm for the rest of the week. It felt like a very 'failure proof' atmosphere and they were sincerely happy with the improvement you made - highlighting that the main thing is having fun.
We're very happy with this experience and would recommend this surfing school to anyone first-time surfer!

Many thanks to Mario(super) and his legendary surfing father Meco. I am now 52 male and have been trying to learn to surf for a long time now, but thanks to the Loredo surf school I can finally say that I can surf ,and what an elation that is.Entirely due to Mario's very amiable character and teaching methods and style (very small groups, speaking great English) I have revisited Loredo many times , so much so it feels like my second home. I have taken all my children , two sons and a daughter on a regular basis and they love it. Loredo has a very lazy feel and is not commercialised in the slightest but if you are youger and looking for this then Somo ( the next town) is a short walk up the beach and will provide all the exitement you need.I would recommend the Loredo surf school to all ages and abilities .

Have been visiting here for 6 years now and never get tired of going. Always a warm welcome from Mario and his team. One of the most unspoilt places and a beach to rival any. Would advise anyone learning to surf this is a great place to visit.

Surfing is not so easy, but instructors that are working in Loredo Surf School are helping you as mich as they can and making your first days of surfing just incredible.
This school is situated really close to the beach and is full of equipment.
It also very great that after lessons you may take a surf and practice by yourself.

My partner and I booked with Spain Surf Holidays (Loredo Surf School) on two separate occasions (May and June 2012) and were very impressed with the surf package offered, which was well organised throughout both of our stays. Mario was very warm and friendly and provided professional coaching / instruction (theory and practice). Tuition was purposely kept in small groups for personal attention (one to one guidance), unlike other surf schools witnessed, and coupled with proactive teaching methods, offered a great environment to learn and progress―ideal for surfers of all levels.
We were fortunate to have not only Mario but his father Meco, a local surfing legend in his own right, out in the water with us also providing guidance and local surf knowledge―a truly family-oriented surfing experience which not many surf schools can provide!
We thoroughly enjoyed both surfing trips and will most certainly book again. We would highly recommend Spain Surf Holidays (Loredo Surf School) as a first choice for a surfing holiday in Santander.

As a first timer it was a great place to start to learn, the location was stunning and the attention to detail at the surf school was second to none. It is certainly a location I would use again
