The musem is in the main street, with some parking outside. You enter the building into the cafe which looked very busy and had some lovley looking cakes on display, We paid 12 euro for a family of 4. It was a very small museum but there are lots of facts around the roomd. A rolling screen shows old and... More

Very interesting, clean and well organized. There are a few artifacts. There is also a cafe offering light snacks, sandwiches, and drinks.

Popped in for a latte while touring. Great welcome, lovely coffee, and stunning location at the quiet end of the Beara Pennsula. I did not go into the museum.

It;s lovely presentation of the local history, and well worth a trip here.... It would be nice to see more about the lives of the local workers that that of the Puxley family... But, Beware of the woman at the entrance desk... what you might call a right " nasty olde biddy" We decided to have some lunch here, now... More

To appreciate the history of this area a visit to 'The Copper Museum' is a must. The display gives a fascinating insight into the times of the copper industry here.

The Allihies Copper Mine Museum has many informative and interesting displays. However, every member of my family had difficulty with the "flow" of the displays and how that information was organized. Also, the woman at the entrance desk was not very helpful. Please give some thought to rearranging your displays to make it more visitor friendly and cohesive - perhaps... More

Very interesting to think about the past lives of Allihies, but the museum does not make clear in strong terms that the workers were exploited by the mine owners. I'd rather learn more about the workers' lives than the lineage of the Puxley family. Entrance fee was also a little pricey.

A small museum, but I gather with plans to expand in the future. There is so much rich history connected to the area and its links with mining towns in America that it would be difficult to cover it all. Sadly, the impact of the American links was overshadowed by the Cornish history, but that may well develop later. Beautiful... More

With well presented information in a converted chapel, this museum celebrates the once thriving copper mining industry of Allihies. A shop, cafe and free Wifi were all appreciated on our visit in torrential rain.
