My husband and I visited today and we absolutely loved it!! It was the best hot chocolate we have had in years! Ian was absolutely lovely. There is also a large variety of locally made things, chocolates, sweets and desserts. Definitely will be back!

Highly recommend if in the area vist this place.
Amazing Hot Chocolate in a warm winter setting, just perfect.

If you knit or crochet you may be lucky enought to find some balls of Alpaca Wool.
Just so many lovely gifts to find in this place.

Bonus to see Aplacas in the fields with some very young ones.
Very frienly, calm and efficient service.
Gets a big tick from me.

Cute place to stop off and check out the locally made chocolates and alpacas.
There is a wide range of chocolates available if lots of alpaca toys and items.
There’s also a cafe and food on offer.
Worth a 20 minute stop.

We visited here as it was on the 12 Apostles food trail. I should have read the reviews first as we’d have skipped it if I’d known the chocolate wasn’t made on site and there were no tastings. It was really expensive and not that great. The chocolate is made in Australia from local and imported ingredients. It’s really just a shop selling chocolate and other products. Also no Covid safe plan, we were shown to a table in the cafe that was still covered in previous guests used dishes. The table wasn’t cleaned and although some of the dishes were removed some were left behind. Given the recent outbreak in Victoria, I thought that was very poor. It was staffed by young girls who seemed overwhelmed by the crowds of customers.

Of course when we saw the chocolatery sign on our Great Ocean Road drive we had to stop! It wasn't that far off the GOR and the store was cute.

We picked up three different bags of chocolates.
The chocolate was ok. Nothing exceptional or wow about it.
What was disappointing were the fillinings in each of the chocolate. It tasted like low quality fillings that you get when you buy cheap chocolates at a drug store.
For the price that they were charging per bag.....not worth it.

Its a small shop with limited options available for purchase.
Sales lady wad rude and rushed us despite the fact we were the only ones in the store. Ended up spending about $30 and that was mainly because we had driven so far and wanted to leave with something

I really wish we hadnt driven an hour and a half out of our way for this. If your going past MAYBE... but dont make a special trip because you will be dissapointed

Gorgeous and delicious chocolates in a very scenic area. Outside the kids will love patting the farm animals, inside big and little kids alike can taste chocolates, enjoy a coffee (there’s a cafe attached or you can takeaway) and check out the local produce. There’s jams, chutneys, honey and all sorts of delicious produce from the area that you can buy. The dark chocolate however is the best!

Stopped here primarily as a toilet stop on the way back from a trip to the 12 apostles. The toilet was out of order but it was well worth the stop anyway! The chocolate is very tasty and the mocha and hot chocolate were delicious.

Gorge Chocolates is among the recommended stop overs along the Gourmet Food Trail. As a strong supporter of local tourism, I do take the effort to visit country stores (especially the smaller owner operated stores).

Gorge Chocolates offers a small range of flavours but classic Aussie fillings such as raspberry and honeycomb.

It's hot chocolate came highly recommended from the Whey Cheese shop. We thought we would order one to indulge ourselves after a long drive. Arriving at the chocolate shop 30mins before its closing time and the only customers there. The Sales staff over the counter was not welcoming and seemed reluctant to take our order. We decided to forego the hot chocolate given the lack of hospitality. We can only assume the staff wants to close the shop on time.

After our purchases of $70 worth of chocolates & cookies, I asked for a small favour of hot water from their coffee machine to rinse my toddler's milk bottle. The Sales staff seemed reluctant and explained the shop uses rain water that is untreated. This seems bizarre. Does that mean the shop has been selling coffee and hot chocolate using untreated rain water? We are pretty sure it's unsafe to sell drinks using untreated water. We could only conclude that the Sales staff is unwilling to help.

A place to stop by but don't have expectations on service.

This little chocolate shop is a highlight of any tour of the Great Ocean Road. A great range of hand made chocolates on offer and delicious hot chocolate!
