OK so ER isn't exactly my thing but I was going along to spend time with my Son & Daughter. Right off the bat the attendant/monitor/clerk made himself obnoxious. He kept interjecting himself into our private side conversations. The hold harmless injury release forms could only be done electronically on your phone...a non-starter for a baby boomer. During the briefing this goofy clerk rambled on about procedure along with a list of do's and mostly don't s. One thing that caught my attention was his term "excessive force". I asked if he could give an example and he sputtered and mumbled that would be giving away clues, but it would be "obvious" what was "excessive force". He then asked if we had any questions to which I replied I a ready asked one and you refused to answer it. So the scenario for the escape room was really corny and dated (might have been hip when I was in my teens). We get into the room and this dummy doesn't even have thing set up properly. He scurries around to get things in place while our time clock is running. Then we are breezing through this simpleton scenario. We have 3 of 4 locked filing cabinet drawers open within 12 minutes. One contained a brief case like one I have (so you know it is old) Very familiar with it, I hold the open button while rotating the tumbler and it opens. So he's mumbling over a crackling speaker "stop hacking the brief case. I get the brief case open he comes in the room demanding how I got that far in the scenario. He then accuses me of using "excessive force" - which he couldn't define during the pre-briefing. He say I was "breaking the lock" - complete nonsense and he needed to reset this event. At that point I lost it and told him he was an idiot and I was done with this mickey mouse, romper room, child's play. I would think a cold war spy scenario would have no trouble wit hacking.a lock. Anyway all the equipment/props are old and very worn. He did agree to refund our money which is to his credit. I definitely would NOT recommend wasting time & money on this escape room. Save your money for a real adventure or the best happy hour in Avon, Pho 20.…

My wife and I were in Avon on a snowboarding trip with friends to Vail and Beaver Creek. Wanting to find other things to do besides snowboarding, we discovered Vail Valley Escape Room! My wife and I tried the beginner room ourselves the first night and had the best time! The room and puzzles were great! The staff (Zach) was simply the best and made us feel very welcome. We felt extremely confident in all the sanitizing and cleaning procedures as well. We had so much fun that we went back a second time with two more of our friends and did the intermediate room! Happy to report we saved the world! Highly recommend Vail Valley Escape Room to anyone who is looking for a fun activity to do while in the area. Be sure to say hi to Zach for us! …

The Escape Room's facility was very nice as the host was really friendly as well. Nice and clean and they followed the COVID-19 guidelines to the "t." I will definitely be visiting again. The reason that I gave the experience a 4 is because the host spoke to us and explained the rules to us as if he was reading from a script; on top of that, he spoke very lowly...almost to a whisper...maybe it was muffled because of the facemask that he was wearing...no enthusiasm at all. However, that was a minor glitch. The overall experience was nice. We did not escape and the entire world exploded...but we had fun trying.…
