Historic Mosque
Aug 2019
This Mosque is still operational. Very well maintained. It is a magnificent structure of stone right in the middle of the city.

Just in front of Badal mahal gate, quite well preserved and maintained by archeological society of India. With a big brandha in between surrounded by beautiful halls supported by pillars, definitely a beautiful site and a worth visit place.

VERY NICE PALACE CHENDERI
Aug 2017 • Friends
Chanderi Chittor of Rana Sanga had the Sultan Mahmud Khilji winning possession. In about 1527, a Rajput sardar named Medini Rai (Rajput Raja) , when the kingdom of Mughal ruler Babar had been established on all the territories except Awadh, established his power in Chanderi. Then Puranmal Jat won it. In the end, Sher Shah invaded. Even after the long siege, the fort did not come and proposed a treaty, in which there was assured assurance that leaving the well-equipped fort along with the Puranmal goods would go away. But when descending down, Sher Shah ordered slaughter and won the fort after a fierce battle.

Just walk off thee busy street and you experience quiet and serenity. Perhaps because it is a mosque. Lots of camel supports and carvings. Try the acoustics from where the judges sat or in the small alcoves the imam would use to amplify their voices- amazing.

An Awesome Attraction of Chanderi
Oct 2014 • Family
This heritage structure is located very close to the Badal Mahal Gate. It is very well maintained by the ASI. It is perhaps the oldest mosque of Chanderi. The facade contains carvings of beautiful floral patterns. There is a huge courtyard as soon as one enters the gate. The courtyard has passageways on both sides. Beautiful serpentine brackets support the eaves of the passageways. It is an absolute must see in Chanderi.
