Day Trip: Tulum, Coba, Playa Del Carmen and Cenote Swim from Cancun

41 reviews
Visit two of the most important Maya archaeological sites on this full-day tour: Coba and Tulum. Admire the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea while exploring the temples and pyramids of Tulum with a certified guide, then head to Coba to climb to the top of Nohoch Muul—the tallest pyramid on the Yucatán Peninsula. In the afternoon, take a swim in a 'cenote' (underground cave), sit down for a traditional Mexican lunch, and explore the city of Playa del Carmen. Round-trip transport is included.

Nice side street off the main road through Tulum. Very good service, decent drink selection. We were there during the day and it was quiet ... it apparently have a vibrant nightlife with a DJ. Did not see a happy hour, but they have daily specials that run all day long (2 margaritas for $100 pesos and a craft IPA for $70 pesos).

After reading the reviews we thought this was the hotspot in the nightlife of Bacalar. However music was out at Some point for a while and it seems mainly just to chill out. Originality of the cocktails is good in terms of names and ingredients, however they are pretty expensive... friendly people though!

This is the spot I've been looking for. Come to Mexico and enjoy fancy fancy Mezcal. It's a little hard to find, but sooooo worth it. So many different Mezcals and they make a bunch of theor own. And they have super amazing food to boot. Delicious all around. Make sure to try the stuff in the jars behind the bar!

At the risk of sounding like a bore, this place is a nightmare, we stayed in Tulum town for 1 week and although I knew it wasn't going to be as quiet as the beach Damajuana Mezcaleria kept us up until 4am most nights with their loud incessant music. The locals and travellers in the area had a nightmare with this as it causes so much disruption and everyone has trouble sleeping, we spoke to numerous locals and travellers who felt the same. It's a shame that such a beautiful, calm town can be ruined by such a loud boisterous club.

We found this place when we were looking for a previous restaurant Ahuevo and decided we need to visit. We met Oscar the owner who know more about Mezcal except probably a Mezcal producer. This place is intimate and chill, with a more loungy vibe upstairs on the rooftop (a Plus!). Drinks were delicious- he made us something special so I can't tell you what it was except that it was savory and wonderful. My guess is that it doesn't pick up until around 9 or 10 pm, so grab dinner in town and come here for after dinner drinks….We prefer the night vibe in town instead of beach as it's always much more interesting!
