Tulum Bike Tour Tulum Maya Ruins Cenote Swimming Pueblo History Art Tacos Lunch

Though Tulum is a small town, away from the beachfront it has significant traffic and relatively expensive taxis. Instead of driving, opt for this bike tour to get a complete introduction to the area, riding through quiet backroads, hidden paths, and beach trails to make the most of your day. Your guide takes you to see ruins and street art, sample local food, and swim at a nearby cenote.

Frank was a fantastic guide. He knew lots of history about the ruins. Navigating traffic in Tulum on bikes was safe and easy with Frank in front. Thank you for a wonderful day all around Tulum.

My sister and I loved this excursion! The bikes were good mountain bikes, they provided snorkels for the cenote and the lunch spot in the jungle had great fresh food! The cenotes were all gorgeous and had areas to jump into the water as well as caves and lots of hammocks if you need to rest. Our guide, Pedro, was fun and really catered the excursion to what we wanted. He was happy to answer our questions about mayan culture and told us about the geography of the cenotes. Definitely book this excursion. I will probably do it again if I come back!

We had the most fantastic bike tour seeing the Ruins, visiting a local cooperative where we learned about Mayan stingless bees and ended the day with a beautiful Cenote with Iber our tour guide. I can’t say enough about how amazing Iber is. He was knowledgeable about the history of the Ruins and a true delight to share the day with. He even did a killer back flip at the Cenote. The bike ride was challenging for a non-biker and we were tired by the end of the tour but every mile was worth it!!!!! Iber is highly recommended and we would tour again with him in a heartbeat!!!

I was in Tulum for only two days, and I’m so glad I chose do this tour during my brief time there. I had a wonderful day exploring nature and cenotes! I signed up as a solo traveler, and my group consisted of me, another fun couple, and our awesome tour guide Carlos! We met up at headquarters on the main strip in Tulum, where they get you fitted to a bike, provide helmet/snorkel gear, and go over the details. We stopped at gran cenote first (which I think was my favorite cause of the caves you can snorkel through), had an amazing brunch at this cute spot in the middle of the jungle, biked along a back road through the jungle, and hit up two more open cenotes before riding back. Carlos was a great guide who makes every effort to make sure you’re having a good time, and just exudes chill vibes ;) As a heads up, you do some biking along the main highway in Tulum, but your guide ensures you’ll be just fine. The back road through the jungle is very rocky and uneven, so if you’re not used to that kind of terrain, you might want to take that into consideration, but again, our guide Carlos was super chill and will totally go at whatever pace you need! Overall I had a great day with Tulum bike tours!

My 13 and 15 year old wanted to ride bikes on a tour and are always wanting to swim and this was perfect. Great company with safety in mind and well equipped. Iber and Pablo were our guides. They were so much fun and provided so much help and information about the plants, animals, and history of the areas we visited. We really were able to see so many neat things from the bicycle, as sometimes you don’t pay as much attention in a van. Now I will say it was a lot of cycling and my kids had plenty of energy for it. My husband and son ride dirt bikes and they loved dodging rocks and holes and picking their lines on the rougher roads. I wasn’t good at that at all and my left knee hasn’t been very strong so it was more difficult for me. Thank you Pablo for keeping an eye on me and for all your help. The cenotes were great on their own, but super refreshing after riding. A great experience to remember!
