Yes you can snorkel but very limited, the diving experience is about a 4000% better experience, divers do it deeper !

Tell the dive master and he or they will check you out first before you go under water. It is riding a bike you don't forget. I go for one week every year and I am fine. I ocean dive and do the cenotes
