We had a great time exploring the biosphere from the mouth of the ocean, where they let you snorkel, to the canal that was created hundreds of years ago by the Maya. We got to swim in the canal and float down it - the water was a beautiful aqua color and so clear that you could see the fish... More

Really enjoyed this day in Sian Ka'an nature reserve. Aldo was very knowledgeable. We moved at about the right pace so we got time to have a good look at the places we visited.

They take you out on a boat in canals that were dug by the Mayans. You are allowed to float in them with a life vest. There are bigger lakes where we saw manatees surface. We even saw a crocodile in one of the canals (not where floated...). Very cool and relaxing place. Well preserved.

We took a tour of the Sian Ka'an area where we inspected the lagoons, which were huge and the hand made Mayan canal that led to the other lagoon and canal where we got off the boat and floated with the current until the salt water met the lagoon water. It was a lovely time floating down looking a birds... More

So much fun for all ages, including older adults! One of my favorite parts of the vacation. Was on a private biosphere tour and saw some Mayan Ruins, then had lunch and went on this short amazing tour. Things to bring: waterproof camera, snorkel if desired, biodegradable bug spray and sunscreen or they will make you buy some. Cannot use... More

The environment is like another world. No description would ever do it justice. We plan to return as soon as we can.

I went twice on two different day trips to Sian Kaan. On the first one we took a boat through the lagoons to Punta Allen. On the way we saw crocodiles and lots of birds. Punta Allen is a super quiet paradise. We then switched boats and went out on the ocean. We saw turtles, swam in the crystal clear... More

Awesome tour and Aldo was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the day. My wife and I were joined by another couple and their 6-year-old daughter, and we all seemed to have a great time. We boated through the lagoon, stopping to see birds - including spoonbills, ibis, and many kinds of herons. We also saw a... More
