My wife and I recently spent a week in the Tulum area and did 7 cenote dives over 3 days with Koox. We can't speak highly enough of our experience, the dives were some of our favorites of all time. The staff at Koox was responsive and helpful while we were doing our initial booking.
We'd like to thank Romen and Martina, in particular. Romen is a wonderful divemaster who not only ensured we were prepared and informed for all of our dives, but was a blast to hang out with. His knowledge of the area and passion for the cenotes was impressive, we highly recommend requesting to dive with him, if possible! Martina was so helpful in getting everything booked, welcoming us, and being very attentive to dietary restrictions.
Thanks again to the whole Koox team, can't wait for our next trip down to Tulum - we definitely know who we will be diving with :)

Roman was a fantastic guide for my dives in El Pit and Carwash, really fantastic time and was very flexible when we had to switch the second dive location and sort out some issues with my own equipment.
Martina in the shop was so great for tips and generally super helpful. As a result of chatting to her I'm now off to Banco Chinchorro, which was never the plan 😂
10/10 would dive with the guys again for sure 👌👍🤙

the cenote visit was a big bday gift to husband. chose koox because matina in tulum shop was friendly and dive-passionate, plus koox has great reviews. snorkeled casa and did ojos, guided by roman—bright, articulate, careful, considerate and extremely professional. brought own mask and fins, appreciated wet suits and dive lights, getting there very early, and the time to hang in dos ojos, while roman shared quietly about the history of the region, etc. deeply peaceful including swooping swallows and fruit bats. two years ago i had suffered a traumatic injury, and in this cave respite, i finally felt totally healed (the deep peace of the cave allowed me to realize?) we’ve travelled quite extensively, and this makes the top list of ’so glad we did this.’ with koox. mil gracias!

Over the 2019 holiday break, our family traveled to Tulum Mexico for vacation. We all wanted to make sure we experienced a water adventure and booked a snorkeling trip through Koox Dive shop in Tulum. All of the reviews we had read were positive and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. Our dive master, Roman, was professional, safety conscience, and very personable and funny. We started the morning snorkeling the coral reef just offshore. One of our daughters had never snorkeled before and Roman took the time to make sure she was comfortable and safe. After an amazing experience in the ocean, we then went snorkeling in the Los Ojos Cenote where we got to experience cave diving. What an amazing adventure and we are so happy we chose Koox and got the opportunity to meet and spend the day with Roman. Two thumbs up.

4 of the best dives I’ve ever done.
The equipment was excellent and the guides were friendly and made the whole experience amazing.
We booked a double dive and immediately after we surfaced from the second dive we booked in for 2 more.

We recently completed our advanced open water qualification with Ko’ox adventure, where we were fortunate enough to do 3 cenotes dives and 2 reef dives. Our instructor, Victor, was great and ensured that we had a lot of fun whilst also focusing on safety. It was such a fun and exciting experience to dive in the beautiful cenotes, we would absolutely recommend ko’ox to anyone thinking of doing some diving when visiting Tulum, you won’t regret it!

My dives with Ko'ox were among the best in all my 25 years of diving. First, the ease of communication through the website made the arrangements very easy. And there were no restrictions regarding the number of divers. Most of my dives were solo with the guides. Guides were all delightful young experts who inspired confidence and displayed enthusiasm for their work. I wish to specifically thank Hakan, Eber, Julio, Mariel, Gerson, and Sylvia for doing an excellent job. Ko'ox has offices in Tulum, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen. I did 10 dives, both ocean and cenotes, including one night dive in the Casa cenote. I highly recommend Ko'ox without any reservation.

First used Koox in 2022 in Playa and Tulum. Rental gear was in rough shape, every regulator leaked and didn’t look like it was cleaned. A couple mouth pieces had mold in them. Looked past it at the time because the guide was excellent.
The same guide was supposed to lead a liveaboard trip to Socorro. Koox was charging significantly more than liveaboard.com but it was to include presentations by a marine biologist. I booked the trip with them for this reason. A month before the trip, no more marine biologist.
When it came time for the boat to leave, all divers boarded but were told there was an engine problem. After waiting for the first night, in the morning everyone was informed the trip was cancelled.
The owner of Koox asked everyone if they wanted a credit to go another time. Everyone advised him they would rather have their money returned. He said no problem.
A few divers elected to go dive in La Paz to use some of the money that was to be returned. One concern on these dives was that the hand signal for low on air was ignored and ended up in low air situations 3 separate times on dives.
It has now been 10 months since the trip was supposed to take place to Socorro and multiple divers have not been paid back thousands of dollars. Nothing but excuses from the owner of Koox, Chucho.
Will never do business with him again.

I went on a 3 cenote dive tour where Carlos was my guide and divemaster. He was superb! He gave thorough briefings, making sure to explain what is different about cavern diving and knowing my level of experience. He brought all my gear down to all the denotes for me and back. He made a plan and we discussed substituting one denote for another, which we did because of the low visibility risk. He planned the dives hoping that we would be the only ones diving each cenote, and it worked perfectly. He explained what each cenote dive would involve, the difficulties, and the wonderful discoveries to see. He made sure all my dive gear was in good shape and explained the best way to maintain good buoyancy and how to kick without raising sediment.All of this worked perfectly and there were no issues until a prior dive group had raised a great deal of sediment causing a zero visibility situation for awhile in the last cenote.The tour was amazing! It wasn't cheap, but was fair for the level of expertise and care I received during my tour. His knowledge of cavern diving and the individual denotes was superb! I highly recommend this shop and this divemaster!

We spent 2 days with Carlos from Koox and had an excellent experience. It was my third time in Tulum diving cenotes, and undoubtedly my best. As a dive master, Carlos knew the sites in and out, prioritized safety, and was professional and kind throughout. Highly recommend.

Hola. I have to say sorry, we dont rent equipment. We only include the equipment on all ours tours for diving, snorkel and educational courses. If you are intresting let me know.

Yes, you can do the first dive experience which is the "Discovery Dive" USD 120. This is not a certification but just a first dive experience to try diving. In the case you would like to continue you can do the Open Water certification USD 420 that takes 3 days of course with practice, theory, written material and exam.
