the cenote visit was a big bday gift to husband. chose koox because matina in tulum shop was friendly and dive-passionate, plus koox has great reviews. snorkeled casa and did ojos, guided by roman—bright, articulate, careful, considerate and extremely professional. brought own mask and fins, appreciated wet suits and dive lights, getting there very early, and the time to hang in dos ojos, while roman shared quietly about the history of the region, etc. deeply peaceful including swooping swallows and fruit bats. two years ago i had suffered a traumatic injury, and in this cave respite, i finally felt totally healed (the deep peace of the cave allowed me to realize?) we’ve travelled quite extensively, and this makes the top list of ’so glad we did this.’ with koox. mil gracias!
