We had the BEST day visiting the temples in Coba, swimming in a gorgeous cenote and eating the best lunch with the sweetest Mayan family. The tour guide Limbert was seriously so knowledgeable and so talented at telling stories of the Mayan culture. The ruins were fascinating and so special. If you Are coming to this area of Mexico, you absolutely have to swim in at least one cenote. They’re all a little different and a unique experience. The family that cooked lunch for us was so sweet and it was so eye-opening to see how they live and how they honor their culture. This tour company is different than all the other large groups that you can go with. We only had five people in our group and it’s such a personalized experience. He kept us away from all the other tourists so he could explain things to us, and so we didn’t have other people in our pictures and crowding us. The mission of this company is so worthwhile, and they absolutely care and work hard to teach people about the culture of the Yucatán and Mayan people. Beautiful experience, thank you for sharing it with us.

My sisters and I just returned from our trip and we are still in awe of the amazing experiences we had thanks to Limbert and Conciencia Tours. Limbert is a brilliant and kind-hearted guide; he brought us on a tour packed with adventure, beauty, knowledge of Mayan culture and history and incredible homemade food.
We saw ruins in Cobá, jumped into the most majestic cenote I’ve ever seen, had a Mayan homestay meal, visited a local farm, saw monkeys, went ziplining over the jungle and ended with a canoe ride across the lake. The local Mayan families welcomed us as dear friends, thanks in part to the strong connection Adrian and the team have built over the years. We simply would never have been able to create a day full of such magic without their planning and attention to detail.
If you are looking for an authentic experience without the “consumer” mindset that many other companies have, look no further. Many places can show you beautiful scenery, but when you experience a different land through human connection and mutual respect, it has a lasting impact for the better. Thank you Limbert and Conciencia Tours. We will be back!

We toured Chichen Itza. Our guide was on time picking us up at our hotel. He was very friendly and knew so much of the history of Mexico and the Mayan culture. On the way to Chichen Itza we made a stop at a small village shopping area, and he bought us freshly cooked tamales and a local fruit drink for the road. We also purchased some local honey, fruit and pastries to take back to our hotel. Upon arriving at Chichen Itza our guide took care of everything - bought our tickets and got us through the crowds to start our tour. What a amazing time learning about each structure and what they represented to the Mayan people. After our tour we drove to a local Mayan family's home for lunch. The food was so incredible and delicious. The family explained what each dish was and took us on a tour of their home to show us how the food was cooked. We could not finish the large spread placed before us. Then it was off to swim in a nearby cenote. The cenote was on private property, so we had the cenote almost to ourselves. No big crowds with lots of people. What a great way to end our day with a refreshing freshwater swim in a large underground cenote. The drive back to our hotel was about 2.5 hours, which gave us a chance for a brief siesta. Will you pay more for a private tour with Conciencia Tours? Yes, but it worth every penny. I can't image riding in a bus with forty other people for 3 hours without learning about the local history and then arriving at Chichen Itza without someone to explain the history of this remarkable culture. Call Adrian at Conciencia Tours and he will arrange a custom tour for you!!

We booked for 3 tours with Viajes Conciencia on our trip to the Mexican Yucatan at the beginning of March prior to travelling, Tulum and cenotes, Sian Ka’an biosphere and Chichén Itzá. Booking was simple on line and we had clear information on payment etc. Our guide was Adrian. He arrived late for our 1st tour to Tulum with great apologies, but this had no impact on a wonderful day learning about Mayan history and way of life. We were with 2 Americans and 3 French travellers and throughout the tour Adrian switched between French and English to keep us all informed. We had a lovely lunch and swam in some beautiful cenotes, and everywhere we went wasn’t too busy so it was very relaxed and enjoyable. We did the evening tour to Tulum which was lovely as there was hardly anyone else there so again a very relaxed tour. For this and all the other tours we did Adrian was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic for his subject it was a pleasure to listen to him.
We travelled with 8 French travellers to Sian Ka’an, again a lovely day where we travelled the mangroves seeing the wildlife (including a crocodile). We saw a turtle and dolphins in the bay, and we were able to snorkel and see some beautiful sea life. Unfortunately the weather changed on this trip and to enable us to get back through the canal between the sea and the mangroves we had to return in our boats at breakneck speed as the canal was emptying and getting too shallow for the boats to get through. Although it was very cold the boat trip was actually quite exhilarating but it did mean we missed some of the wildlife. Once again Adrian was a great guide throughout.
We originally decided we would not go to Cobá but as we had enjoyed our 1st 2 trips so much we asked to book onto this tour as well. Once agin we were not disappointed, we learnt so much and I was persuaded to climb Cobá which was scary but well worth the effort for the view from the top!
Chichén Itzá was very impressive, we went on a very hot day, unfortunately Adrian was feeling unwell but he still managed to look after us extremely well, and gave us loads of information about the site and the Mayans. For this trip we travelled with a French couple but there was a second group of French tourists in a 2nd bus with another tour guide Fred. Going round Chichén Itzá Fred was with all the French travellers and Adrian stayed with the 2 of us so we had a personal English speaking guide which was great. We all ate a meal together at a Mayan home, and Fred too was an excellent, informative guide. This tour was a very long day, and at the end we went to Valladolid. We were there for a short time only and although it again was very interesting we didn’t think it was really worth the time as it was such a long day.
On the whole we were very impressed with our tours and the passion and expertise of Adrian. We had good meals on each tour, and visited and swam in some beautiful cenotes which was always very welcome during a hot day.
We would highly recommend all the tours we went on for anyone who really wants to know about Mayan culture and history, or who is interested in ecology and wildlife.

What great clients, we enjoyed so much our conversations with them. This clients were so nice that when I picked them up at their hotel early in the morning for Chichen Itza, they had some pastries to share for me as breakfast. And also, they bought me a new hat! What a great memory of the last tour before Covid-19 began!

Our tour with Adrian of Viajes Conciencia Tours & Travel was one of the most memorable travel experiences that we have had. Adrian was responsive from the beginning of our email contact and the information he shared demonstrated his true passion for tourism that advocates for the ecosystem and the local community. Of course we saw the typical tour sights but with Adrian's patience and seemingly unlimited knowledge, we learned so much about the history of Mayan Culture. The visit to a local cenote was magical with time alone in the cenote to explore. It was during these quiet moments we could reflect on the significance of the cenote to Mayan culture shared with us by Adrian. Our final stop of the day was the absolute highlight however. Clau and Beto welcomed us in like old friends and shared not only their cochinita pibil prepared from scratch at home, but also each step in the process in their workshop as well as described each ingredient and took us through tastings of herbs and juices used in the preparation. Through it all, Adrian's knowledge, friendliness and patience made the experience just so much more for us. And of course, Franklin who navigated the endless construction to take us too and from the area was just a rock star! We wish we had allocated more time to tour with Adrian but hope to go back and visit with him again soon.

Absolutely brilliant tours and tour company. Limbert was outstanding. We booked two tours with Viajes Conciencia and both were superb. The Tulum cenotes tour took us around the site early morning followed by a swim and snorkel in the most beautiful caves and cenotes. Our Mayan village lunch was delicious, we had a go at making tortillas and ate a lovely chicken, vegetable and rice meal. Limbert was knowledgable, attentive and an all round super guy!
Our second tour was around Sian Kaan…omg what a day! We saw dolphins, turtles, nesting pelicans and the most gorgeous fish. We travelled around on two boats, firstly one that took us through the mangroves in search of crocodiles then we took another boat out onto the ocean. The water was incredible, crystal clear, warm….paradise. Sian Kaan is well worth a visit, an outstanding area of unspoilt beauty. Limbert was brilliant, the first to spot all the notable wildlife. We ate fish and chichen in a local fishing village washed down with the coldest of beers!

What an incredibly memorable and enriching experience! We spent the day with Adrian and our driver Franklin for the Mayan ruins and cenote tour. Adrian was a wealth of knowledge on Mayan history and culture. Because we had such an intimate group, and with Adrian's expertise and passion on the topic, we were able to spend much more time diving deeper into discussion and conversation. It was by far the most informative tour we've ever taken.
We also deeply appreciated Adrian's commitment to supporting the local community and the Mayan people. The cenotes we visited were not necessarily the most visited, but we enjoyed that because it added to the intimacy and the beauty of the experience. Our lunch at one of the cenotes, which featured local cuisine, topped off an amazing day. We ended the day with our minds and hearts full and fulfilled.
Overall, we couldn't be happier with our tour and can't recommend Adrian and his team enough. We look forward to coming back to Tulum and taking another tour with them!

This tour was by FAR the highlight of my trip to Tulum. Adrian did an excellent job of showing my girlfriend & I around the ancient ruins of Tulum and was very educational about the history behind it as well. He then took us to two cenotes; one above-ground with a ledge to jump off of which was super fun, and the water was the most beautiful I've ever seen. He then took us to an underground cave cenote which was just breathtaking. He informed us on how vast the cenotes spanned around the Yucatan peninsula and how they came to be. After swimming we went to eat lunch at a local restaurant, which had some of the best food we had eaten on our trip! Adrian was very accommodating and even took us to get our COVID test before we had to leave back for the states the next morning. He took plenty of pictures and videos and was very professional in his work. 10/10 Highly recommend this man!

Adrián was so helpful and this tour operation is top notch. We had been trying to arrange a
Private tour for one day to Tulum and the caves. From the moment I reached out to schedule this for our family of five, Adrián was responsive and helpful. Unfortunately we did not get to complete the trip. This was not due to this tour group but rather a ferry issue and our cruise boat timing. Even so, I am writing a review because of how impressed I was by how thoughtful and helpful Adrián and his team were and how clear it was that they offer a top notch service with a deep knowledge of the area and options. We will come back for a longer stay and will book with Then when we do!

Adrian provided an amazing experience for our group. It was my first time doing anything like this and I was so happy that I did. From the ride to the Temazcal, he made me feel comfortable and welcome, explaining what would happen and its importance within the culture.

Check in with Conciencia Tours. Their day long ecotour focused on ecosystems and life in Punta Allen. Ask them about fishing. They seemed willing to individualize tours.
