We decided to come here last minute because we found out the weather was too rough to see sea turtles in Akumel Beach. And it turned out that this is an amazing alternative experience! We read the reviews before we came, so we knew that...More

I had a great time at the grand cenote and recommend it. It is a wonderful place where you are able to swim close to little turtles. Entrance fee: 10 USD or 180 pesos. You can rent lockers and snorkel inside.

Beautiful cenote with sparkling water. Could have spent hours gazing at the underwater cave features, but it does get crowded as the day progresses.

Was really excited to see my first cenote! Gran Cenote opened at 8am and we arrived around 9 - the place was already so packed with tourists and tour groups snorkelling. Still beautiful to see but left me a little disappointed. Our fault for not...More

Yes this cenote is smaller, and there will be lots of people most likely when you visit. Clear water, wonderful to see the turtles, and we felt very safe. For first-time cenote visitors we loved it! Our tour included a stop to snorkel at Akumal...More

I visited Gran Cenote 3 years ago and it was the reason I came back to Mexico, to dive/swim in these amazing sinkholes. But I was so utterly disappointed today when I went back. It’s obviously under new management who have turned it into a...More
