I knew exactly what I wanted to see and do while in the Yucatan. Upon reading reviews of many group tours I decided upon private tours and after reading the reviews of many operators online I decided upon Tulum Private Tours and it was a great decision. My dealings online were it Cedric, one of the partners, but both days I booked the tours were led by the other partner Servando and accompanied by our driver Pablo.
I cannot say enough good things about Servando and Pablo. The first tour was of Chichen Itza and we took in all the important buildings at a very leisurely pace and with rest stops at any time I needed a rest. Servando is well versed in the history of the people and the area and explained everything to me before we arrived and then reinforced what he had said while we toured the site and he always looked for a shady spot to make things more comfortable as it was hot! We also stopped in Valladolid to see the church and main square and then had lunch if a very historic and fine restaurant.

5-stars plus experience!
The Tulum Private Tours company definitely gave us (me, wife, elderly parents) an awesome experience from beginning to end and I highly recommend them. As a product and service based business owner, I like reviewing businesses on practical factors, so here it goes.

Booking: Due to traveling with elderly parents during covid times, we decided that it was best to book a private tour instead of a group tour for safety reasons and the flexibility of setting our own schedule After reading a lot of reviews of private tours, we selected this company. After booking, I had additional questions so I exchanged a few emails with Cedric who was friendly, prompt, and professional. We wanted to get an earlier start to avoid the crowds and heat, so we started at 7:00 which worked out well.

Tour Guide: Our tour guide was Servando who was excellent from start to finish. He was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. He picked us up in a nice SUV with great air-conditioning and a refreshment bar in the trunk stocked with drinks, snacks, and some fruit. It was very obvious that he enjoyed sharing about the facts about Cenotes, everything about Tulum, and the history of the region and culture. He showed us interesting photos and diagrams about the cenotes and Tulum and answered all of our questions. It was like hanging out with a friend who was a professional tour guide. I'm sure all of the tour guides are excellent judging by how great Servando and Cedric was.

Tour: After discussing things with Servando, we started with the Cenote as our first stop and got there before it got too crowded. We visited a nice Cenote which had an open area and a cavernous areas with turtles and some other creatures. As we were leaving, we saw a lot of people lined up at the entrance, so we knew our timing was good. Then we went to Tulum and had a good conversation and Q&A with Servando on the way about the region and culture on the drive over. At Tulum, we were able to skip the long line to get into the ruins because our tour included tickets which is definitely the way to go. Servando showed us around and found us good spots of shade and explained a lot about Tulum ruins in a fun and interesting way. We took some good photos and Servando took some for us that turned out nicely.

Lunch: Servando took us to a place called Taqueria Honorio which was a higly rated authentic place that was also on a Netflix special. Amazing food and highly recommended.

End of tour: after lunch, Servando took us home and all of us passed out in the car from a day of fun and history and taco food coma.

All in all, it was a great experience from booking to end and the professionalism and friendly service of Tulum Private Tours was excellent and my family would highly recommend them.

I'm a bad iphone photographer so don't judge the place by my photos since they don't do the actual places justice. :)

This tour with Tulum Private Tours was incredible! Servando was so educated and knowledgable of the area and we learned so much. They were very punctual and professional and we knew we were in safe hands start to finish. Truly one of the best tours I've ever been on. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to explore Tulum and the surrounding areas.

We even forgot our wallet on the bus at the end and they were able to help us by bringing it back and setting that up for us and nothing was missing from the wallet. Very honest and genuine company!

Booked a tour through Tulum Private Tours for a group of 9 of us, and I must say it truly was the highlight of the entire trip. From the planning process to the pick up everything was stress free. We did the Cenote tour and visited 2 cenote's and stopped in Tulum for literally the best tacos ever.
We had Servando as our guide and couldn't be happier. You can tell he has a passion for what he does and is incredibly knowledgeable. I had always seen photos of my friends visiting Cenote's and saw them standing in crowded lines, what we had was an entirely different private experience.
The first cenote we arrived at -- we were the first and only ones there for about 45 minutes and were able to take in it's beauty uninterrupted. The second Cenote was a covered cave cenote and we explored this cenote for about an hour with Servanto explaining many aspects of the cenote and some links to Mayan culture along the way.
Highly recommend this company if you are going to book a tour

Servando was our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. We chose to do the Coba Natural tour which started with visiting Punta Laguna where we participated in a Mayan ritual, saw spider monkeys, canoed, ziplined, and repelled down into a cenote. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant that served amazing tacos before making our way to coba natural. We also visited a few cenotes as well. The best part of this tour was how flexible Servando was! We traveled to Tulum in the middle of the pandemic and chose a private tour to avoid large crowds. The van we traveled in was very clean and we all wore masks all at times. We felt very safe! Highly recommend this tour company!

Tulum Private Tours doesn’t disappoint. My first tour with them was two years ago, the Tulum Cenote Tour. I was so impressed I have arranged tours with them every time I have visited and referred them to my friends. I want to share the experiences with everyone! When you can get this type of private experience, why would you want to be on a tour bus! The consensus is these are do not miss adventures! So far I have experienced Coba Hiking Tour, Sian Ka’an, Muyil, Coba, and Tulum Ruins…some multiple times with something new to see and learn on each visit. The guides’ knowledge of the history, culture and environment are exceptional and impressive.

We chose to do the Sian Ka’an tour along with Muyil last week. We were picked up in a nice air-conditioned van and arrived bright and early for the boat tour allowing us to have the Mayan channels to ourselves (amazing channels carved through mangroves by Mayans centuries ago). Our guide, Cedric, pointed out Mayan points of interest as well as different species of birds. At one point we got out of the boat and floated through the channels where the water was so clear we could see fish and crabs as well as enjoy spotting some of the most beautiful plants in the mangroves. After floating, we got back into the boat for a speedy ride through the channels arriving in a lagoon where we saw manatees! We ended up near Boca Paila bridge where a few of the resident crocodiles were relaxing. Just passed the bridge is a beautiful beach to explore. It looks different every time I have visited always offering something new. The boat ride back to the docks was better than any amusement park ride! After leaving Sian Ka’an, we took a lovely private tour of Muyil where Cedric shared lots of interesting facts and once again we were lucky enough to be the only group. After the tour, we enjoyed a delicious local lunch. I highly recommend spending a day exploring with Tulum Private Tours!

We had an amazing time with our guide Sernando. He did a stellar job at explaining the rich history of the Yucatán. I highly recommend this company, they go above and beyond, plus this tour is for a reasonable price. You can customize your tour to anything you want, I really appreciated that flexibility. Will definitely book with them again.

My husband and I used this company for both tours we did- cenote tour and chichinitza tour. We were lucky enough to have Servando as our tour guide and he was amazing! He was so knowledgable and really made sure we had a great time. He also took us to these delicious authentic restaurants for lunch where we had the best cochinita tacos. The tours were so fun and i highly recommend the cenote tour- it is INCREDIBLE. Also the bus is very roomy and confortable and has AC and they provide drinks and snacks. Please book these guys they are amazing!

This was our second trip to the Yucatan and our second trip to see Chichen Itza. I will say, our first trip back in 2008 involved crowded, stinky tour bus with several other people. We couldn't hear the tour guide and everywhere we went, there were more and more people.
This time, we decided to book a private tour with Tulum Private Tours. We were bringing our kids, along with some friends of ours who had never been. Servando and Paco arrived promptly on time to pick us up at our hotel. We had a good 1.5 hours drive to Chichen Itza. There was fresh fruit, drinks and snacks for us in the van on the way there. Servando gave us an amazing history lesson the whole way there. Upon arrival, we were some of the first folks there, so we beat the heat and crowds. I was SO impressed with Servando's knowledge and history. He answered all our questions and was very patient was us taking pictures.
We came back to an air-conditioned van and cool clothes for our face! He then brought us to an amazing restaurant for lunch. The food was to die for. He gave us a quick tour of the town and then to the BEAUTIFUL cenote! It was such a nice way to end our day. And we were home by dinner!
I would highly recommend booking a tour with this company. They go over and beyond. It was truly an amazing experience!
