As the owner who has been in the UK working in the military for the last 4 months (and i am still currently in the UK) i'm not sure who you're refering too as the rude owner since i haven't been there?
I’m following their social media for a while and i found myself here having a workout. Probably it’s too much for Tulum but awesome. They have a new location now which is smaller than old one i guess. Having workout here is pretty fun. Get...More
I love the jungle gym and use it few times a week. Nothing beats doing squats while looking at the Caribbean Sea and white sand with warm wind blowing on your body. Also what’s better than after workout stretch with your dog licking your face?...More
I have trained in gyms all around the world over 25 years but Jungle gym is like no other. If you love gyms, this is a MUST. Great to train outside with unusual equipment. The only downside is I feel it is a little pricey....More

Just like a standard gym! 50 or 60 kg dumbbells and they had several 45lb plates!
My husband was able to lift heavy as he normally does!
They have moved locations since we went, but I assume the equipment is all the same!

Going to PDC in February. Planning to leave the resort a couple of times via Taxi to go to Tulum Jungle Gym and also to Akumal Monkey Sanctuary. I see other people recommending staying at your resort to be safe. Would my excursions be considered unsafe with the recent travel advisory?

You should be fine in your taxi and at your destinations. Tourist locations other than 5th avenue have not been an issue. There are a ton of threads on this if you want more info but you should feel great about your plans.
