This was my first visit to a cenote and I must say that it was a very beautiful experience. We arrived around 2:30 P.M. and there was not many people there, less than 50. The price to get in was $150 for adults and $100 for children even if they're not swimming. I did not visit the other cenotes near by but I heard this one is the most expensive. You can bring in your own food and beverages and they have a restaurant. Chairs and lockers are available for rent or you can sit on the many benches they have around the area. It rained for about 20 minutes while we were there and the mosquitos are vicious so don't forget the mosquito spray especially if you're not swimming because they will eat you alive. They don't want you to use repellent or sunscreen if you will be swimming because it can cause harm to the cenote and the fish. Overall, I recommend this place for a day visit especially on a hot day because the water is cool and refreshing and fun to swim in fresh water. The cliff jump is scary but so much fun!
Additional info: We took the collectivo from Playa Del Carmen for $40 pesos per person and we probably should've took a taxi because there were 5 of us and it would've cost us the same and been more comfortable. Collectivos stop a lot and they pack them with as many people who can fit, sitting and standing and can be a little hot and uncomfortable. To get back to PDC, you have to cross the busy highway to the other side to catch the collectivo back to PDC.

Nice little swimming hole but not much to see in the way of any beautiful caves. 150 peso entry fee for adults. I think it was 100 pesos for a child. There are a few pools you can choose from. Even a place where you can jump from a cliff in to a pool. Some pretty fish and the ones that harmlessly nibble at you (it tickles!). Benches to sit on or set your stuff down. There are also lockers and changing rooms; and a bathroom at the entrance. This place was pretty bare bones and nothing fancy, but when we went it wasn’t crowded at all and easy to distance away from people to go for a swim. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

Cenote Cristalino was amazing. The water is so refreshing and it's an experience that is great to share with your family. Best time to arrive is when it opens because it's not crowded. Note: For elderly people there's a long path to walk down and it's not smooth, also it may be difficult to get in and out of the water because the ladder is very slippery and so are the rocks. You can bring your own snacks, food and drinks, but if you don't they have a stand that offers alot of different kind of snacks you can buy from fruit, chips, juices, etc...You're not allowed to bring any alcohol drinks or wear regular sunscreen only diodegradible sunscreen. You can rent lounge chairs if you want or scuba dive for a price, but if not you can enjoy the day swimming, relaxing or jumping off the cliff to your hearts content. My family and I truly enjoyed this experience at this cenote and had an amazing time..
I think you would too!!!! Enjoy...

My family of four really enjoyed snorkeling in this quaint and beautiful cenote. We have a 4 year old and 7 year old. Both enjoy swimming so this made it fun and easy. Life jackets and snorkeling gear are provided for free. The staff member on duty, Ruben, was very attentive and made sure we got what we needed in a timely manner. It was busy when we were there. Great job by the resort to keep the lines moving.

You've gotta get out of town and visit a natural wonder like Cenote Cristalino! A quick drive south of Playa is well worth it for a fresh water swim. The water is stunningly clear, a touch cooler than the ocean (low 70's F), and very fun with our family. In particular, we enjoyed cliff jumping (15ish feet high) and swimming though some narrow areas in a mini-cave. We have visited cenotes in the area a few times, and look forward to our next visit. These cenotes are truly unique, and well worth it to get you away from your resort for a couple hours! Bathroom and changing area on site. Price for tourists: Approximately $10 adults, $7.50 kids (bring pesos for a better exchange). *Tip: bring a snorkel mask if you have one, or rent one on site. Well worth it!

We loved this place!! The cenote was almost empty when we were there (morning on a weekday) and there was cliff jumping for the adults, snorkeling for the kids, lots of shade, super clean clear water. We ate lunch here as well which was the best food we’ve eaten in this area yet for a super good price. We were very well taken care of, it’s all very clean and low key.

This is so natural and beautiful. Other reviews suggested going early or late, so we arrived at 3.30 pm. It closes at 6pm and we had a gorgeous few hours. Shaded from the sun by trees, swimming in clear, cool waters. Take a snorkel, water and a towel. There are lockers available. Just a couple of minutes walk in from the car park and you are there. Incredible place.

Absolutely gorgeous cenote. It is nice and quiet and very cheap, $8 US per person. It offers showers, bathrooms, change rooms, life jackets with the entrance price. You can also rent snorkelling equipment. There is food and drinks available to purchase. The cenote itself is stunning. Cool, crystal clear water. They offer an area to cliff jump and a swing in the water. Lots of areas to swim. There is a cave area and open area. Lots of shade as well as sun. I highly recommend this cenote!!

What a great spot....refreshing water, picturesque, birdsong and adventure if you care to jump. Be sure to venture further past the main swimming spot as there's more to be seen. Loved the fish pedicure. Hope to be back!

200 pesos per person makes it decent value. Includes a life jacket. Not a particularly commercial operation, which is no bad thing. Water is very clear and easy to get in and out of, as there are ladders. Big cenote so plenty to explore. Mainly open but some bits under cover. We were there at 9am on a weekday and it was quiet. Not many fish. It was a refreshing dip.
