This attraction has a double TripAdvisor listing and is also reviewed as Chaak Tun. Our two different parties of four visited Cenote Chaak Tun independently twice by taxi. The return taxi fare was about 450 pesos from Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed the tour greatly....More

Is a magical place to enter the womb of mother earth and enjoy the cool waters of the cave and underground river, the treatment of people and the views are spectacular.

The caves were so cool. Creepy at times but so exciting. I loved all the bats hanging upside down sleeping and some flew around us. It was fascinating.

This was part of a package we did with Tulum 1st, and then off to the caves where we also had lunch. This is such a beautiful natural wonder that it is a must see (bring an underwater camera). The only negative is that they...More

We didn't use a real tour company. This was suggested after we didn't want to go to the other trip from a street tour place near the Royal Hotel. They actually served it up as "Chaaktun.."... we took a cab they provided... More

Would prefer to just go to the cenote, can you pay at the gate? And are there certain tour times?
