I’m truly grateful to have discover this yoga studio in Playa.
Power vinyasa classes with Michael Gannon are incredible. It mixes breathwork, yoga, cardio and workout and really allows you to build strength and flexibility!
Ashtanga class with Michael Luginbühl are amazing too. You will practice the true and entire primary serie which is really rare and hard to find!
In general, I like the simplicity of the class and the teachers in this studio.
Really amazing classes for really good prices! Highly recommend!

I am in love with this studio, wholeheartedly. I have returned to Playa more than once (mainly for this yoga) and I always feel welcomed by the entire team now. It is one of the many reasons Playa Del Carmen feels like home to me.
The quality of yoga teaching here is so high, and to put that in context I am a qualified yoga teacher that travels the world learning from some of the greats. I know when I am in the presence of an inspiring yoga guru and Michael is one of those.
All of the teachers are world class amazing, and I smile with my entire face and full body when I share space with Ellen, Suzy and Michael. I will return time and time again to this yoga studio that has become home, not because I live in Playa, but because it is worth the flight.

You can’t go wrong with Yogaloft. Whether you’re looking for a Yin class, a Vinyasa Flow or a strong Power Vinyasa (Michael Gannon’s signature class), this place is the real deal. All teachers are great, the space is beautiful and you can feel a real sense of community as you walk in. Living in Montreal, Canada, I’ve been coming back to PDC year after year only to practice here. Highly recommended!

The Yogaloft was an unexpected highlight of our trip to playa del carmen, we had the month pass and got full use out of it, great deal for your dollar. It’s a beautiful studio with plenty of space, lockers, showers, and place to leave your mat. You’ll always leave sweating and feeling ready for the day, we were beginners and felt comfortable and very challenged. Super fun how Gannons classes have music with great playlists!

What a fantastic place to press a reset button and clear my mind and body of all of life's clutter and anxieties! Originally I was in search of Bikram Yoga, I am very grateful to have found Michael Gannon's Yogaloft and his "Ashtanga Yoga Made Simple - A Practice For All Levels" book and teaching method. I have been here a week now and can see why Michael has such a following here in Playa Del Carmen and around the world. The other teachers and staff are amazing as well. This is probably one of the best Yoga studio's I have ever been to. If you are a Yoga enthusiast and are in Playa Del Carmen don't miss the chance to spend some time here with Michael and his team, I will be bringing my wife with me next time!

It's been great to experience classes that are different of my usual practice. The classes are challenging, well structured, and there is no way you won't sweat. It's definitely a crowded and popular studio, while still being charming and warm. I have tried the "Gannon Power Vinyasa" by Michael Gannon, "Vinyasa" by Ellen De Jonge, and "Guided Ashtanga" Michael Luginbühl . I recommend them all.

Haven’t done a ton of power vinyasa classes but this was without doubt the best of them. Up there with one of best classes of yoga I’ve done full stop. Michael is a great instructor and applied a great boot camp style for this intense class. A refreshing change. Great music, awesome flow and all round top class! Look forward to going back next time I’m in town.

We had ashtanga with Micheal and vinyasa with Ellen. Both wonderful sweaty practices and teaching in English was easy to follow. Clean and good energy in the studio. The cold pressed juices from Prana liquid next door is a must! (Also sold at the yogaloft)

I was visiting Mexico In November 2017 and decided to treat myself to some yoga at this studio. I took a wonderful Vinyasa and then decided to do an Astanga class. The class was very good up until the instructor decided to put her body weight on me while I was in an inversion posture(plow). I could not say anything as my chin was to my chest with my arms overhead and I thought I might hurt myself more trying to get her off me so I just went to my breath. I was very sore in my lower neck right after and in the days since I had progressive increased pain in my neck such that I had to go to the ER a few days later as I could not take the pain anymore.. I have been on pain medication and muscle relaxers since and unable to work or do any ADL's. I thought I should should share this and let everyone know what I am going through and that the instructor should have asked permission prior that specific posture and probably should not have done overpressure like that in that position of the neck especially on a person who told the instructor she has not done Astanga in over a year. I am in a great deal of pain and very depressed and sad this has happened to me. I hope that this does not happen to anyone else EVER.

I live in Cancun and I drive to Playa almost everyday, just to experience an awesome class in an awesome place. Yogaloft is the coolest place, you can tell everything has been thought about. There are many nice details through out the studio.
The bathrooms are very clean and allow for a nice shower after you sweat during class. They have great prices and teachers.
I've been practicing with Coco, and her guided Ashtanga classes are amazing. You can feel that you are working hard in a peaceful way.
Also, Karla is such a nice and sweet teacher.
Mínnar is great!
Even though I am an Ashtanga enthusiast right now, you can also experience an amazinng vinyasa class with Ellen, and Shivananda with Daniela, she is the best, and of course Michael !!
Thank you guys for helping my practice to be stronger and committed everyday. Love you, Namaste 🙏❤️

Hi I am trying to get updated prices but your website shows one class costing $260 per class. Can you please clarify this for me? I understand you guys are
good but that just doesn't seem right.

We are not good. We are Awesone !
But 260 means 260 MXN, which is about 13 USD :)

Do you have hot yoga?
Yogaloft Playa del Carmen

Hi Gretchen,
Yogaloft has Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Acro Yoga and Yoga Basics.
So, while we do not have actual Hot Yoga, the stronger classes are quite "Hot" and sweaty. And, in the warm season, because of our natural heat and humidity, most visitors say they sweat just as much at Yogaloft as they do in their hot yoga studio classes ;)

Hello! This looks like a great option for me in April. Do they have mats available there? I don't feel like dragging mine on the plane :). Thank you for any information you can provide! :)

Hi LuvTravel,
We LUV when people come from the big city, chilly Mid-West to practice and sweat with us in paradise :)
And yes, we do rent mats at Yogaloft. As well as hand towels and nice fluffy white towels for our hot, rainforest showers! So leave your mat at home.
You can always find the specific schedule for any date on the Yogaloft website. Just click on 'schedule' then chose whatever month and specific date in the calendar you are interested in.
