Our family of 10 spent the day with Chris and his team at Absolute Adventure Mexico today! We had a wonderful time, and our adult children's are still raving how much fun they had!
I booked a tour online, and almost immediately Claire started emailing me back and forth to confirm details for our day. We had selected visiting Tulum, reef snorkeling and visiting a cenote. Claire let me know right away that Tulum was closed due to Covid 19 to all visitors, so she adjusted the price.
We were picked up promptly at 8:30 a.m. at our rented home. We drove into Tulum and they took us by boat along the coast so we could see the Tulum ruins from the water side, and they were beautiful! Then off to the reef for snorkeling, which included beautiful fish and a sting ray! From snorkeling we had a wonderful lunch where we could order off the menu and then off to a closed cenote. The water was cool, and the caves amazing!
There are multiple reasons I highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico: 1) They were extremely responsive and professional 2) Our group of 10 had a completely private tour from start to finish, including great narratives from our tour guides and drivers 3) We did not feel rushed and we were completely relaxed 4) They adhered to all safely measures during Covid by taking our temperature, wearing masks, using hand sanitizing, etc. 5) The drivers were courteous and the vans clean 6) Cold drinks (soda, water, beer) were provided in the vans.
Don't book an overcrowded tourist tour. Look no further! Absolute Adventure Mexico's tour will be the talk of your trip!!

Private snorkeling tour to Puerto Morelos. Amazing driver Josué and guide Arturo. Arturo was amazing and helpful. Had everything planned out and did a great job with time. The captain Joaquin of our boat and Arturo, when we became over run with other tours decided to move the boat and get us in a secluded spot to snorkel! Amazing they did that because we went from seeing not much to seeing lots and lots in our new snorkel spot. Our guide Arturo got us hooked up with the best captain Joaquin because when we first arrived on our snorkel spot we were alone then about 10 boats descended on us. Even after we moved more boats followed. We are sure Captain Joaquin is the reason others followed because he knew all the spots and was extremely knowledgeable! Saw tons of fish and the biggest barracuda ever! We are seasoned snokelers but this trip is perfect for novices as well. We were so well taken care of on the boat and while snorkeling! We were able to walk around Puerto Morelos after snorkeling and than along the beach. Arturo and Josué took us to a local restaurant and Arturo suggested the most amazing shrimp tacos. Josué stayed with the van and our stuff which was much appreciated so we didn't have to take everything along. Claire one of the co-owners and I emailed before since we booked this last minute and she was incredibly helpful and responded immediately to all my questions. We will be recommending her company and her team to all! The private tours they offer are well worth the price and the value in having a personal guide and ability to have your own schedule and day without the crowds or masses deciding how your tour will go is so very very worth the cost! If you are undecided, don't think about it anymore, just book it! Claire, Arturo, Joaquin and Josué made us feel like VIPs!

WOW! I normally do not rate my trip experiences, however I felt that I MUST after this one. Our guide, Juan, and driver, Roderigo, were nothing short of amazing. It was as if you had wonderful friends who lived here and took you around to their favorite spots. To preface, I usually hate touristy tours but this is not that. You still get the tourist experience of new and different places and information without dealing with annoying tourists and canned speeches from mediocre guides. Knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and friendly are just some of the many adjectives I’d use to describe Juan, our guide. I felt incredibly safe the entire time, especially in this new Covid world. We were able to tour the Tulum ruins at our own pace with a guide who was a wealth of knowledge. I had never been there before, however, I’d venture a guess that we learned much much more than we would have on another tour. We were taken to spots that many would never stumble across and I was even able to check off my lifelong bucket list item of swimming with sea turtles. I am a huge animal lover and it seemed humane and safe and the turtles were very protected, which you do not always see with wildlife tourist experiences. This experience may be slightly more expensive than other group tours but I cannot stress enough how much it’s worth the extra money. If you’re heading to to Tulum anytime soon or considering it in the future, bookmark this as an absolute MUST. I promise you the pictures do not do it justice. This is an experience of a lifetime that you will not regret.

Do not Hesitate to book with Absolute Adventure Mexico. Four of us (from the U.S.) travel yearly to the Riveria Maya and this was by far one of our best experiences ever! It was great to be able to customize our day, choosing to tour Tulum and snorkeling the 'Pet Cemetary" cenote. We felt comfortable and safe the entire time.
Booking on line was easy, their pricing is reasonable, and I can not say enough good things about our driver Pascual and our tour guide Manual. It was just us and them, and we had an Absolute Blast! Both of them were very accommodating and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. Conversatiion was easy and interesting, and Manual is very knowledgeable on so many different topics. Not only was he able to answer any question we had, but also gave us much insight to their culture, past and present. Tulum and the cenote are breathtaking on their own, yet Pascual and Manual made our experience truly incredible! Also, I have to mention that at the end of our tour, we had the freshest, most delicious taditional meal I've ever had in Mexico. I whole heartedly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico and look forward to being a repeat customer soon!

Amazing experience with Alex visiting 3 cenotes with our family. Not only was Alex able to educate us on the cenotes but he also educated us on the Mayan civilization! They picked us up directly at the house we were staying at and Carlos was an amazing driver. The communication with Claire was clear and done in a timely manner. For an extra cost we were able to do the pet cemetery cenote as one of our 3 and it was well worth it. 2 years ago my daughter and son in law used this company and loved them so much that we chose not even to look at other tour companies this time, and once again they did not disappoint. During the tour they had cold water and cervesa in the van if we wanted it and took us to a local restaurant for delicious food (try the shrimp tacos)! Highly recommend using this company!

Our guide Claire was amazing! Her and Pascal showed up on time an were so friendly! She took us all around the ruins telling us the history, taking photos of us and for us. It was for my wife’s birthday so Claire made it so special. The cenote was so beautiful and refreshing. An the lunch was at a authentic Mayan Mexican restaurant. Claire took care of everything for us from start to finish. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized trip!! It was all so worth it.

Chris was a great tour guide! Him and pascual picked us up at our hotel in playa del carmen on time! It was about a 45 min drive which conversation was great. Once we arrived we chris knew everything on how to avoid lines and always keeping us safe and avoiding crowds. Very safe and following covid safety from pick up to drop off. It was just me and my wife so granted there werent alot of people but its noce to know that safety was a priority. The tour itself was great and very informative. We wanted a half day tour to get back to other things throughout the day but it was very informative and chris gave us time to ourselves to explore the ruins. Overall a great experience if you are short for time or dont want to spend all day at the ruins. They also offer packages which we did not partake but next time we definitely will choose absolute adventures. Thank you for a wonderful tour!

We had a group of 4 that did the Tulum ruins, Cenote, and swim with turtles excursion with Hectar and Willie. I was simply amazing.
From start to finish this was just an unreal experience. We got picked up from the hotel and take to the tulum ruins. Hectar told us a ton about the Mayan culture and the history of the ruins. Then we went to the underground Cenote which was beautiful. There were maybe 8 people in it when we got there and the last 30 minutes or so was just our group. It felt like our own little cenote. So cool. We did a more commercial group excursion with a different company later in the week and it was definitely not as good.
then we had lunch with beers which was REALLY freaking good. And finally we went and swam with turtles. I would say that if i did it again i'd probably swap out the turtles for a 2nd cenote. There were just so many people trying to see them as well. It just felt much more commercial. But of course there is nothing Hectar could do about that.
ANYWAY, It was amazing. The guys were amazing. Don't book any other company.

What an amazing experience! We did two tours the week we were in the area, and both were perfect—the best part of our trip in fact, according to my two kids. When we were booking our tours, the second one was sold out, but after emailing with the owner Claire, she immediately responded and opened a new slot for us. Her communication was so quick and direct. Our guide on both tours was Joshua, and he was just incredible. He made everything so easy for us. His knowledge of history and the Mayan ruins we saw (both Coba and Tulum) kept us all fascinated. He took us early to miss the crowds and took many pictures of our family together at every location… reminding us to get the photos even when we would forget, and suggesting the best spots for photos! Every piece of both tours was seamless. We swam and snorkeled in three different cenotes, with Joshua helping us choose ones that our family would enjoy and that would give us a mix of different experiences. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy every part of the tours. Having a driver (Rodrigo and Josemar) who stayed with the van was very helpful, as we were able to bring everything we needed, but also safely leave valuables in the van while we did our activities. Joshua had everything we needed—all our tickets and entrance fees prepared in advance, equipment for the cenotes and snorkeling with turtles (different sized masks and snorkels to make sure we each had one that fit, life jackets, even a flashlight for the caves in the cenotes), and even recommendations for some delicious dishes at the restaurants for lunch. When he dropped us off for the snorkeling with turtles in Akumal Bay, he introduced us to our snorkel guide for that portion, and was there waiting for us with our towels and belongings right when we finished. He made everything seem so seamless and practically luxurious. And even better, he was such a joy to talk with and get to know a bit. He really seems to enjoy being a tour guide, which made our experience that much more enjoyable as well. Thank you Joshua, for two wonderful days that our family will never forget! You made us want to come back to explore more of Mexico as soon as we can. Or even move there, my daughter just added. We would 100% recommend you take a tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico!

This trip was everything we could have asked for and more. Our first stop was the Tulum ruins which was not just beautiful and well maintained, but the historical perspective given by our guide Joshua was amazing and informative. I did not expect to learn so much about the area, development, and history!
Our next stop was Akumel where Joshua obtained a water guide to take us snorkeling to see some turtles. We were informed that the turtles are in freedom so it is not guaranteed however they usually do see turtles. We saw about 5 beautiful turtles, it wasn’t overly crowded at all, and our guide took us further out to the coral reef which was one of the nicest reefs we had seen in a while. With all the storms and wreckage that has really diminished the existence of many reefs, it was amazing to see this small area of beauty! It was even more amazing that our guide, Alex, offered to take us out further to see the reef! I saw amazing because he had three kids (8-9) in tow that he pulled on a ring the entire tour. That was tremendously appreciated.
After the beach we walked over to a quaint restaurant that made you feel as though you were truly in Mexico and not just as some fast food place or touristy place. I wish I could recall the name. This tour also include our choice of tacos or quesadilla and neither disappointed! We opted to indulge in some margaritas and they were really amazing! Highly recommend the passion fruit margarita! The portions also really large! Beyond our expectation!
Joshua and our driver, Rodrigo, took great care and time with us and literally took care of everything. We were clearly in great and informative hands. It was wonderful to also get to learn more about Joshua and his deep interest in the historical and marine perspectives!
I also need to add that this was a private tour- our own van, our own driver and tour guide that was with us most of the time (just not in the water) and we were able to select our departure time from the hotel. They recommend 7am but we chose 730am and it was perfect for us and not so hot yet in Tulum.
We highly recommend this trip “Tulum, Turtles, and Tacos” and will definitely use the company again when we are back!

Hi Danny, I am from Beverly MA and lived in Central Square when I lived in the city. We are planning a trip to Mexico for April vacation with our two boys ages 7 and 9. I plan to see Coba and the Monkeys. Did you spot Monkeys on the tour. This is very important for my boys. Also how did you add snorkeling with the turtles to the tour. Was this a custom tour? I would love to add the turtles to this package.

At Punta Laguna, most of the time we can see the Monkeys, but this is never guaranteed as they are in the wild.
We don't custom Coba + Punta Laguna tour with swim with turtles, as it doesn't fit in one day. Contact us by email and we will provide you with some tour options. Kind regards
