This was our first experience with Spear fishing, so I was not sure what to expect. Javier and the guides were very patient and informative through the process. I had originally wanted to do a full day, but since it was my first time, they suggested a half day. Thank you for that advice as we were exhausted by the end. The boat and the gear were great so there were no worries about any of the that and we could focus on learning how to hunt. I highly recommend them and we are hooked on spear fishing. We will be back to see them for sure.…

My wife and I booked a last minute trip to Tulum as things started opening back up and have recently gotten into spearfishing. I can’t say enough great things about Javier and his whole crew. My wife is a beginner and was given the most instruction and care that we have ever received from a charter. The dive sites were all close to the launch site and there were opportunities to shoot fish for all levels throughout the day. We loved the first trip so much we booked a second day, and his team worked to customize our adventure and see new and exciting dive sites. Javier is a true waterman and I learned so much from being in the water with him and he is always willing to share his knowledge and love for spearfishing. Everything was extremely professional, from the boat, to the gear, and the captain. The boat launches from a truly great restaurant (la caleta) that will also cook your catch. I couldn’t say nicer things about Javi and his crew, and my wife and I are already planning on coming back just to spear with him again! It’s also important to mention that the crew took health and safety very seriously during this time. They also has all the gear you could need from beginner to pro spearo and it is all new, clean, and reputable. If you are in the area and have ever considered spearfishing this is your company, and if you are experienced and looking for a guide this is your company. I am looking forward to coming back to make more memories (and haunted by that permit that broke off). …

I recommend this spearfishing tour for intermediate to professional spearos. There is fish and Javier( the instructor) helps you find it and shoot it. If you’re a newbie get a FreeDiving certification with Javier, he is awesome teacher who goes extra mile to help you succeed. Also, after the trip you have a choice to eat your fish at the local restaurant ( I highly recommend you do this).…

What a day! We had originally booked a half day trip but after four hours, we were hooked and needed more!! So we booked the full afternoon as well. Javier and Julian are skilled free divers and spear fishers who taught us how to shoot, how to hold our breath, the best way to approach the fish, all the different types of fish, and more! Their English was great, no communication issues ever. We went to three different spots during each half day trip, with water breaks in between. In addition to the fun challenge of spear fishing, we also saw turtles, stingrays, and nurse sharks! They were great at spotting sea life and pointing out to us. After the morning dives, we brought our fresh catches (two trigger fish, a red snapper, a hog fish, and a chub) to the marina-side restaurant La Caleta and they cooked up our fillets, which Captain Mauriano prepared for us, for only $15 usd ! They did the fish in multiple different styles- two ceviches, grilled, blackened, breaded ... all so good!! We ended our dives with the sunset. It was the perfect day! …
